I must be very ignorant, leading a sheltered life in some Hampshire backwater, 'cos I didn't know who Edgar Bronfman was, but Google quickly filled me in. E.B. senior (our man) has been described as King of the Jews, whilst only last month, E.B. Jr. was described as one of the world's most powerful men.
Have a read, they seem to be just the family for a PR job, and dad seems to be the right choice for us; Jr. though, is a leading exponent of cash-burn.

I know Driver but that has got to be better than no involvement at all, he would not get involved until his advisers thought that it would be a good thing for him.
So read into that what you will.

driver,
IMHO this is going to blow sometime, there several powerfull business men running this and I don't think they want the scraps from the table.

I see whay you mean.

The Edgar Bronfmans, senior and junior, are always great theater, and never more than in the past few weeks. Edgar Bronfman Sr.--in his role of Aged Wisdom--has just published Good Spirits: The Making of a Businessman, a memoir brimming with self-congratulatory tales of his business acumen and generosity. (When he's not patting himself on the back, he has no trouble finding people to do it for him. Thanks to his relentless and ongoing pursuit of Nazi-loving Swiss bankers, admirers have dubbed him, only half-jokingly, the "King of the Jews.")

Board will benefit from his
counsel at this exciting time for the Company," commented Darren Shaw, Executive Chairman of Pacific Media.

Lots of buys today.

Nobody saw the news that Goldman Sachs have taken a position ;-)

squidd - 04 Jun 2005 07:44 - 81 of 572

man: Yes indeed, and topped up my holding. More heavyweights jumping aboard, have a look at the calibre of the board members on PCM,s excellent website, www.pmplc.com Yale and Harvard well represented there, they obviously believe in this company.

I thought you meant this board for a minute; I was going to agree with you.

driver - 04 Jun 2005 10:27 - 83 of 572

Pacific Media already has a direct marketing TV station in Asia:
It is in Chinese, you can download the Chinese Text Display Support or just view it.

I'm interested driver , but 25% spread !! ?

driver - 04 Jun 2005 11:13 - 85 of 572

jimmy
Its .0016 to sell and .0018 to buy, but never mind that if they do the deal you could be looking at .10p who knows.

Correction .0018 to .10, I wouldnt want to ramp to much.

jimmy b - 04 Jun 2005 11:38 - 86 of 572

You've ramped me in , i mean roped me in, lol, seriously it looks interesting i might have bash on monday, thanks driver..JB..

I have borrowed this from another board so cannot take the credit, a good one for the newbies.

So whats the fuss? well PCM is basically a tv production company with production resources and satalite channels in the far-east/asia. The current aim being to aquire a license to copy the format of successful UK shopping channels owned by Sit-up.tv.

PCM already has an Asian based direct marketing TV channel, but requires the bid-up/price-drop license to be able to take advantage of the successful UK formula in Asia.

The theory being that the market is 10x larger and therefore profit potential 10x larger in Asia. Looking at the financial turn-around of sit-up.tv over a three year period (which with the expertise of media giants such as the expected arrival of Edgar Bronfman), PCM could could achieve a profit in less than 2years. Estimated revenues into Billions of pounds it doesn't take too much thought to realise PCM could soon become one large company.

The deal is not yet in the bag officially, but is as good as signed IMO. The share-price will re-rate. I'm in long for 4 - 5 years for a multi-bagger. The shareprice will always bounce given there are billions in issue and its quite widely held, so always opportunities to take profit into swings / buy low sell high etc... i.e. excellent trading opportunities.

Worst results ever just cleared and the market has reacted. i.e. virtually no reaction. Looks set for a rise in 2005 towards 0.5p.

Driver: Have checked PCM's TV direct marketing site reported in your post 82.
It looks like the Asian ASOS. Hope E.W.R. is watching.
