Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

turkey
has been a secular country since kemal attaturk ..... the country has significant numbers of greek orthodox and other christian groups, as well as jews
there is certainly a synagogue in istanbul dating back to the mid 15th century

si'ite fundamentalists took over iran, that country had a jewish population
of about 100,000 that had been there for centuries and they all lived happily
enough with their muslim brothers"
Hahaha..You couldn't make it up...
Lets give a history lesson shall we....When was the Sha'r of Iran the main man
who was pro western until getting removed by the revolutionary guard and installing
the fundamentalists that now rule..Do YOU still believe these 100,000 jews are
still in Iran?????

so you've abandoned ship on on iran, iraq, lebanon and turkey?
fyi, saudi is sunni wahabi so hence no other religions are allowed to practice openly
in earlier times, there were a great many jews scattered throughout the persian gulf
how many now remain, saudi excluded, i really do not know
however, it is worth noting that henry kissinger was a frequent visitor to saudi, and many of the us armed forces who were stationed there for several years were jewish, though they were asked to hold their services on the us navy vessels .... i guess the same applied to the christians
btw, only muslims may visit mecca and that has been true forever

Obviously you are still reading the old testament, the new testament
is more up to date, unlike the koran that still eminates from the 6th
century and is backward looking..

cynic whats this about abandoning ship on iran, lebanon, turkey?
I've already given a response which answered you, I don't need to keep going
over and over just because YOU are slow on the uptake...LMAO!!
You really do take the biscuit...."however it is worth noting that henry
kissinger was a frequent visitor to saudi,"
It couldn't have had anything to do with him been the US foreign office
minster could it, and the US trying to borrow some of the Saudi's pots
of money..
As to the rest of your post, you just contradict yourself, and confirm what
i've said in my reply's..

Sweden is outside the top 40 countries for suicide and below the average from OECD.
One of the more enduring myths surrounding Sweden is that the people here are particularly suicidal. This rumour is often traced back to a speech given by US President Dwight D Eisenhower in the 1960s. No fan of Sweden’s social democratic politics and neutrality, he blamed the country’s generous welfare system for ‘sin, nudity, drunkenness and suicide
