THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haystack "More verses in the bible that recommend violence"

Obviously you are still reading the old testament, the new testament
is more up to date, unlike the koran that still eminates from the 6th
century and is backward looking..

cynic whats this about abandoning ship on iran, lebanon, turkey?

I've already given a response which answered you, I don't need to keep going
over and over just because YOU are slow on the uptake...LMAO!!

You really do take the biscuit...."however it is worth noting that henry
kissinger was a frequent visitor to saudi,"

It couldn't have had anything to do with him been the US foreign office
minster could it, and the US trying to borrow some of the Saudi's pots
of money..

As to the rest of your post, you just contradict yourself, and confirm what
i've said in my reply's..

More on Swedens rush to destroy themselves; no wonder it has one of the biggest suicide rates in the world.

cynic - 20 Oct 2016 20:03 - 74176 of 81564

hey mr bigot racist, here is what islam stands for ....

the word Islam indicates a covenant between Allah and his followers, where a Muslim surrenders his or her will to Allah in return for peace or safety

MaxK - 20 Oct 2016 20:06 - 74177 of 81564

Sweden is outside the top 40 countries for suicide and below the average from OECD.

One of the more enduring myths surrounding Sweden is that the people here are particularly suicidal. This rumour is often traced back to a speech given by US President Dwight D Eisenhower in the 1960s. No fan of Sweden’s social democratic politics and neutrality, he blamed the country’s generous welfare system for ‘sin, nudity, drunkenness and suicide

iturama - 20 Oct 2016 21:02 - 74182 of 81564

I used to visit Atlas Copco and Sandvik in Stockholm and travelled around Sweden, including a visit to the Kiruna mine in Lapland. My impression what that the Swedes were a melancholic lot. Not enough sunshine.

MaxK - 20 Oct 2016 21:22 - 74183 of 81564

Well, the way they are going

The sin, nudity and drunkenness will be a thing of the past.

But suicide will be on the up and up as they lose control of their country.

grannyboy - 20 Oct 2016 22:58 - 74184 of 81564

Has anyone watched Chasing Classic cars on the Quest channel,
its from the US, being watching it for a couple of hours, but some of
the cars are out of this world, and when they auction them some
go for well over a $million .

grannyboy - 21 Oct 2016 08:16 - 74185 of 81564

Haha..Should the result stand?...The Labour party won the Batley&Spen
by election with The ex corrie 'star' tracy brabham won 85% of the vote
but the turnout was just 25%.....

Laurenrose - 21 Oct 2016 08:20 - 74186 of 81564

NO THE RESULT SHOULD BE VOID ,HOW CAN SUCH A LOW TURN OUT BE VALID
THEY SOON SAID HUNGARYS VOTE IS NOT VALID

Laurenrose - 21 Oct 2016 08:21 - 74187 of 81564

my family and friends have always bought vw we will buy no more

cynic - 21 Oct 2016 09:11 - 74188 of 81564

don't tell me .... they're all going to buy bentleys instead

============

batley - other parties did not stand, so 25% turnout is not surprising

hungary - in the hungarian constitution, so "they" were nothing to do with it

robinhood - 21 Oct 2016 09:37 - 74189 of 81564

Hi,
Am not too hot on stock market e-magazines-any hard copy recommendations?

ExecLine - 21 Oct 2016 09:52 - 74190 of 81564

GB

Yup. It's a good TV programme. I'd buy a classic car anytime from that guy and so would wifey.

Lately, we've watched Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes seeing how the other half live (particularly the billionaire other half). We also watch 'Posh Pawn' but have gone orf 'Pawn Stars'.

We're also 'Wheeler Dealers' fans (as should anyone else be who owns a car and wifey is learning tons and tons of stuff about them)

Currently we're into 'Westworld' (sci-fi western) and 'The night of' which are holding us with the really good potential for their story-lines

And for the first time, after watching one and a half of the first two episodes, we've stopped watching 'The Apprentice' this year. What a bunch of tossers! Where do they get these twerp candidates from?
