I flick through it in about 30 secs. Won't be renewing. Good to leave a mag on the side and have a browse instead of being on the computer 24/7.

That tells you we shouldn't be in a organisation that cannot fulfill any meaningful
agreements, that can be held up by just one part of a small country.

We have to go through this rigmarole , but it will be worth it just to get shot of

It was one of the federal provinces of Belgium. A Walloon district. It stopped Belgium from ratifying the treaty due to their federal constitution. They seem pretty immovable at the moment. They have a list of dislikes about the treaty.

Belgium has no less than 4 Parliaments that can veto such a trade deal. There again we have our devolved parliaments demanding a say also, although no veto.. There are also objections in the Irish Parliament, as well as Germany. Romania is also complaining that Canada insists, with the US, on entry visas for Romanians etc
The EU is a four-headed, 28 tentacle octopus with innumerous appendages to the tentacles. Little wonder nothing gets done. Farage saw through it close hand. Negotiation is impossible with that lot and hardly surprising. However, it makes May's task that much clearer and simpler.

The pound has recently been sliding to new lows...

But this is nothing say some experts. The real fall is yet to come.

One expert (I'm don't know who) is predicting a potential 30% drop from around here at least, say some commentators. It could be more.

The truth is, we just don’t know how far the pound could fall when Article 50 is invoked and trigger-happy traders and bitter EU bureaucrats ‘attack’ the pound.

Stock up with
a. plenty of toilet paper and
b. a piece of leather to bite hard on whilst you are gritting your teeth waiting for all those shorts to close after this event has happened.

'Good luck' to those traders who feel good enough and well organised enough to catch this stuff when it happens. Sorry, but I'm not one of them - but I might try and catch events at or near the bottom a couple of times.
