How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Hi all
the perils of not getting your bet closed before the off - had backed the fav in the 12.20 and was well in profit waiting for my lay to be filled and the race started - put my lay back in the system as the horse was pulled down at the first - ouch!!!

Hi Fundy, very unlucky but as you say the perils of in running.
See NZ had a convincing win in the ODI. Had a couple of scalps early on but turned in before lunch

Can empathise with you as been there, done that etc.
BTW. A pat on the back on your Aus win. I didn't stay up as already green but if I had I'd have been very tempted to slam a big chunk of my pot on Aus.

Hi Cloudbase
Nice to see you're enjoying the cricket too. Not too long now before Eng and India start playing.

Hi bakko, Yes just feeling my way at the mo under Fundy's guidence, what
i'm surprised at is the amount of money matched, good for scalping oppertunities.
I don't have sky so will be good to watch Eng live, just using cricbuzz.com at the mo.

its one of my golden rules and i broke it - as you may guess im a little pissed off with myself at the mo!!! Still, just have to chalk it up as another learning experience. turned my Arsenal back around at 2.08 for the half time drift - will back again at the start of second half

For anyone who likes major swings - the Taylor darts game tonight has been unbelievable.
He went 3-0 up traded at 1.04, and at 4-3 down Mardle had a dart to go 5-3 up Taylor traded at 3.5. Now 4-4 and Taylor back to 1.5
