How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Just backed Arsenal at 2.0, 10 secs later Flamini goes clean through and blasts over :-( not going to be my day?

its one of my golden rules and i broke it - as you may guess im a little pissed off with myself at the mo!!! Still, just have to chalk it up as another learning experience. turned my Arsenal back around at 2.08 for the half time drift - will back again at the start of second half

Fundy......good to hear you've had a ex. year and as the saying goes "you can't win them all" I'll second the prospects for next year and hope to be here in 12mnths time reporting the same results.

For anyone who likes major swings - the Taylor darts game tonight has been unbelievable.

He went 3-0 up traded at 1.04, and at 4-3 down Mardle had a dart to go 5-3 up Taylor traded at 3.5. Now 4-4 and Taylor back to 1.5

Time to have a look at the cricket prices for the Aussie game now

Cloudbase - 01 Jan 2006 22:29 - 7458 of 10502

It looked as though it was a wild ride, smaller stakes and take lots of small profits.
Just loaded the cricket, AUS driffting a bit

Cloudbase - 01 Jan 2006 22:44 - 7463 of 10502

The rain looks to have passed through. While the atmosphere's still damp will batting second be best choice?
edit ...the second lot could hit

despite any moisture would fully expect the team winning the toss to bat. Sydney is usually a good pitch which takes spin as it starts to wear, both sides would rather not bat last imo

Cloudbase - 01 Jan 2006 22:56 - 7466 of 10502

Fundy..thanks for that and the links. Is there a web cam service you can subscribe to on pay / match basis?

Cloudbase - 01 Jan 2006 23:27 - 7467 of 10502

Start delayed, but don't know for how long
