NETeller - CASHING IN (NLR)

HUSTLER - 17 Nov 2004 20:02

NETeller - NLR - 3.15
Thought i would start a new thread following on from
hawick - new issue looks very special - not to steal the thunder from
hawick but just to highlight the company name to those not already in to this
potential blockbuster.
Those of us who are following NETeller know the background and have been
active with postings, for newcomers i strongly sugest viewing the
( new issue looks very special posting )the content will speak for itself.

Brief overview of NETeller
The company handles online cash transactions across the globe
on 21st oct gained fsa approval to operate as a regulated e-money issuer
and will passport the regulated status to all 25 EU member states
it has over 1 million clients rising by 2000 number each day
1500 online merchants and processed over $1.5 billion in 2003
pre tax profit is estimated to be 29 million to dec 04 rising to
40 million next year
per currently 20 to dec 04 falling to 11.5 which is low for sector
brokers have been raising forcasts on a regular basis
share price has risen over 50% since launch earlier this year
new markets emerging constantly, asia has the potential for supergrowth
online casinos are creating enormous profits
given all this - cash generative - huge market - fsa approval
infastructure in place to handle growth, profits accrue to bottom line
the market force is behind it with good relative strength
all put together it is hard to argue against this has the potential
to be a blockbuster over the year ahead

So hes moving from one line of fire to another, its obvious he is clutching at straws on NLR. Wednesday he used the competition stick today its the legislation stick, he did exactly the same with Sportingbet 2 years ago and could not prove anything. Just look where SBT are now.

He and his followers just frighten people out they have nothing at all to fall back on.

cheers GF.

Gallick, here's a few things I plucked off Google re Datacash and bookies.

"Betfair is one of the largest, if not the largest, online betting exchanges. It is the trading name of The Sporting Exchange Ltd, a registered limited liability company in England and Wales. It was founded in 1999 and holds a bookmakers permit in England and Wales. They utilitse secure servers and financial transactions are processed by DataCash and The Royal Bank of Scotland plc"

"BETDAQ uses DataCash and Allied Irish Bank plc as our secure payment service providers."

"BetHiLo.com selected Datacash (www.datacash.com), the UKs leading provider of e-commerce payment solutions, to be our security partner. Datacash are market leaders in their field and boast a considerable number of high profile customers (Carphone Warehouse, QXL and HMV are some of their larger customers"

"DataCash now has in place a number of online payment contracts with high-street retailers and gaming groups such as William Hill"

"People like Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Betfair are all customers of Datacash"

"the Sporting Index website has been designed with security of paramount importance. They have selected DataCash, ( www.datacash.com ), the UKs leading provider of e-commerce payment solutions, to be our security partner"

I don't know if they are a threat to Neteller or not to be honest.

Just found this, Evil in the past as always taken great delight that online gaming in the US was banned. Is he now trying to make out that competition will come about because it is legalised????????????. Paypal had to withdrwaw from online gambling and indeed were financialy penalised by the US govt, the big credit card operators withdrew and all gambling transactions have a special code which are not honoured by the banking system.

Anyway heres the news article....................

3 states are considering legalizing online gambling
OnlineCasino.org | 16.03.2005 | 07:37:57 | Views: 7 | Casino News
3 states are considering legalizing online gambling.

According to USA Today North Dakota, Illinois and Georgia may legalize online gambling.

"Those are the latest assault on the federal Wire Act of 1961, which bans use of telephones to place sports bets. U.S. lawmakers have struggled for a decade to update the law, hoping to restrain the fast-growing, $10 billion-a-year Internet gambling industry."

"Legal experts say that the act is narrow and hard to enforce and that it does not specifically ban casino games."

"Kasper says legalized Internet poker could bring in millions through taxes and fees."

"Illinois' legislature is considering a bill to allow the sale of lottery tickets online to state residents 18 and older."

"Georgia state Rep. Terry Barnard, R-Glennville, has proposed a similar bill. It passed the House last week."

Bones Datacash arent direct competitors they provide the software the electronic means by which one business to another exchanges money etc, in fact NLR will have a software provider like Datacash providing systems and security for them. NLRs biggest competitor is Firepay which I beleive is a division of Terra Payments USA. Its not even half the size of NLR and Im sure its cost are higher.

cheers GF.

Elsewhere, NETeller, which operates an e-wallet that funnels money from online gamblers to betting and casino sites, eased 7p to 651.5p. The stock has fallen 11% over the past week after Simon Cawkwell, the short seller better known as Evil Knievil, urged his followers to short the stock, which is now one of the biggest companies on Aim.

In light of that, Julian Tolley, of NETeller's house broker Durlacher, says it would not be unreasonable to assume that NETeller will shortly look to move to the main market. "This would trigger a wave of new investors, not least the tracker funds," Mr Tolley said, as he set an end-year target price of 12 for the stock.

moneyplus - 19 Mar 2005 11:54 - 751 of 1341

Good news on the SP of 12 pounds but if they move to the main market we lose the 10% CGT on holding-so good and bad!

Sir Hugo Baskerville - 19 Mar 2005 17:02 - 752 of 1341

moneyplus

Wheres the bad?

If Neteller reaches 12 thats approx a 90% rise from these levels, which far outweighs a CGT 10% tax benefit for Aim stocks if held for 2 years.

I think I know which I prefer to have.

Dil - 20 Mar 2005 01:19 - 753 of 1341

GF , could you please cheer for the English football team as loud as youd did this week for the Iish rugby team against us bunch of no hopers :-)

goldfinger - 21 Mar 2005 01:36 - 754 of 1341

One year wonders. Would they have stood a chance against our boys the English 18 months back when Johnson and Wilko were slaming the world?, NOT A CHANCE.

Weve got very average teams playing in the 6 nations and the Aussies and the New Zelanders would paste any of the home nations and thats a fact. Enjoy it while it lasts.

cheers GF.

gallick - 21 Mar 2005 01:57 - 755 of 1341

>> Dil

Sorry to be perverse "old boy", but lets face it Wales is behoven (like Scotland) to the England moneybanks, and you shoudn't think of yourself as independent - as much as you would like to be. The truth is that the Welsh are way to chicken to bite the hand that feeds it and seek total independence because you need the cash!!!

So ultimately your apparent patriotism - represents nothing more that the annoyance that for example Alaska represents to the the US, and is in fact a farce.

Fully devolve from the UK and fund yourselves - or face the fact that in reality you are just in reality another UK county !!

Dil - 21 Mar 2005 10:24 - 756 of 1341

gallick , why the hell would we want to let England stop subsidising us ???

We aint stupid :-)

I seem to recall New Zealand struggled to an undeserved win against us in the autumn gf and the Aussies struggled to win against a crap England side.

Dil - 21 Mar 2005 10:25 - 757 of 1341

Enuff about rugby , I quit while I'm ahead.

ateeq180 - 21 Mar 2005 10:31 - 758 of 1341

started to move again.

hawick - 21 Mar 2005 13:40 - 759 of 1341

EK gone short. For once i agree with him - valuation now looks way too high. Was a good play for the run-up but remember 2000, these things run down as fast when the tide turns!

HUSTLER - 21 Mar 2005 14:01 - 760 of 1341

simonpaynton - 21 Mar 2005 14:51 - 761 of 1341

It amazes me how this share has turned from a deff winner to a down and over priced losser just cuz some old man who smells of piss says he is shorting...

I am hanging in for sure, I aint so easly swung!!

jimmy b - 21 Mar 2005 14:54 - 762 of 1341

I agree Simon ,well put ,im laughing now !! JB

captainmerton - 21 Mar 2005 21:31 - 763 of 1341

On the subject of said individual, anyone read any of his books? I just ordered the "boast" one. Out of interest really. Awaiting delivery.

goldfinger - 22 Mar 2005 00:56 - 764 of 1341

I wouldnt be suprised to see him out of these before or just after results. If results are anything to go by what Durlacher are calling them (and dont forget the CEO thought the brokers target was very conservative). The Prospective P/E is around 9 now at this price if results come in at predictions. Looks derd cheap to me and cant agree with Hawick, dont know where hes getting his figures from.

cheers GF.

PS I have the boast book from Evil pretty good but its not the easiest read.
