Just seen my stop taken out - kept 50 at least. I've left a long to open at 435 with a tight stop - off out now

Long again from 499.

[14:57 GBP/USD: Threatening 1.9550 Resistance, MPC Minutes Tomorrow] London,
February 20. Cable is currently trading just south of 1.9550 (today"s Asian
session top) as it consolidates gains from a late London intra-day low of
1.9480. A break of 1.9550 targets 1.9567 (yesterday"s peak). 1.9600 is an upper
obstacle.
This week"s key UK event risk comes in the form of tomorrow"s 09:30GMT
publication of minutes from the February 7/8 BoE MPC meeting. IFR expects the
minutes to reveal that the base rate was held at 5.25% by a 7-2 vote--although
9-0 and 6-3 forecasts have also been noted. We suspect Tim Besley and Andrew
Sentance, may have voted to raise rates by another 25bp. The MPC"s newest
members cast prior votes to hike in January, last November and last October
(they formed a minority of two in October).

Oooooh I feel like I'm being watched. I had a buy limit in at 19430 (? support)and a sell at 19550 (? resistance) - based on earlier resistance - and that's triggered and is running. I'll have to start issuing my own RNSs at this rate :)

Well I'm long from 495 earlier today.

Held over the news which I don't normally do and got a slapping for it. I'm sure Cable wants to go higher but the hourly indicators suggest otherwise. I am relying on the 4 hourly chart though which has really yet to move out of oversold territory with conviction.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking - very dangerous.

Onwards and upwards hopefully.

Everyone is talking about a sterling meltdown, but data seems to get shrugged off sub-1.95 as the money comes in. I've got a feeling that we're currently at the start of the fabled burst through $2. Wouldn't surprise me if we see it as early as sometime next week taking quite a few people by surprise.

Harlosh - good luck - I'm flat after taking 40 earlier when I got back in. I've got some support around 480 so might go long with you if it gets back down there
