Yup - so long as that isn't a heightist remark ..... 'cos I can be sensitive about my vertically challengedness :)

From the 550 resistance (or what I had as a resistance) when I went out this morning.

Harlosh - 20 Feb 2007 17:37 - 7478 of 11056

Sorry mg I didn't know you were so. Choccie never mentioned it - honest! :-))

mg - 20 Feb 2007 17:48 - 7479 of 11056

Good things come in little packages - or so my mum says :)

Not very confident about the 550 short - but will stick with it for the time being. Moved stop in at today's high.

mg - 21 Feb 2007 09:05 - 7480 of 11056

550 short still running (naughty me moved my stop up to 9600) :(

Off out again - so will leave it to do or die .....

Back this aftie.

hilary - 21 Feb 2007 09:33 - 7482 of 11056

That's my prediction for the Barcelona - Liverpool score tonight. Nothing to do with the MPC.

Come on Barca.

:o)

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2007 15:11 - 7483 of 11056

Well I'm long from 495 earlier today.

Held over the news which I don't normally do and got a slapping for it. I'm sure Cable wants to go higher but the hourly indicators suggest otherwise. I am relying on the 4 hourly chart though which has really yet to move out of oversold territory with conviction.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking - very dangerous.

Onwards and upwards hopefully.

hilary - 21 Feb 2007 15:14 - 7484 of 11056

Everyone is talking about a sterling meltdown, but data seems to get shrugged off sub-1.95 as the money comes in. I've got a feeling that we're currently at the start of the fabled burst through $2. Wouldn't surprise me if we see it as early as sometime next week taking quite a few people by surprise.

mg - 21 Feb 2007 15:17 - 7485 of 11056

Harlosh - good luck - I'm flat after taking 40 earlier when I got back in. I've got some support around 480 so might go long with you if it gets back down there

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2007 15:28 - 7486 of 11056

Interesting Hilary.

Thanks mg - wondered if you got back in time.

jeffmack - 21 Feb 2007 15:29 - 7487 of 11056

No dodgy syrups here.

mg - 21 Feb 2007 15:46 - 7490 of 11056

Hils
Not so sure about the 50p dollar when I look at the weekly chart. meltdown could be a strong possibility according to my reading of that.

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2007 15:53 - 7491 of 11056

Are you referring to your Macd mg?

hilary - 21 Feb 2007 15:54 - 7492 of 11056

When you look at that weekly chart, Meggers, meltdown was also a strong possibility on numerous occasions throughout 2002, 2003 and 2004 based upon a simple signal from the ma crossover of the macd. It didn't happen though and the fact is that the ma's are still going up, the price action is above the ma's and the macd is above the zero line.

jeffmack - 21 Feb 2007 15:55 - 7493 of 11056

Right im off out to remortgage the house and put it all long cable.

hilary - 21 Feb 2007 15:59 - 7494 of 11056

Talking of dodgy syrups, I might have the odd skeleton in my closet.

:o)

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2007 16:00 - 7495 of 11056

I think you could do worse Jeffmack :-)

mg - 21 Feb 2007 16:03 - 7496 of 11056

Harlosh - yes I was referring to the MACD.

Hils - fair point.

ALL - just whiling away the time trying to get a longer term fix on where we might be going - medium term. My gut feel is with Hils - and that the 50p $ has been within our grasp for a few months now - but never materialised - so it would need a concerted push. When I looked at the weekly it made me wonder.

So ...... evryone

A BIG PUFF :)
