I see you are complaining the fridge is empty again. Get your glasses on and stop looking into the washing machine.

jeffmack - 12 Jun 2004 20:44 - 7486 of 23498

Bonjour
Is it me or is the internet a bit slow today?

optomistic - 12 Jun 2004 20:48 - 7487 of 23498

Socs, how did you know I wear glasses, the photos haven't been released yet!
jeffmack, gotta be you :-))

Thought so, What can you do to speed it up. I've deleted all my temp files, run a defrag and increased the virtual memory. Any more suggestions

optomistic - 12 Jun 2004 21:00 - 7489 of 23498

Had Norton AV which slowed things down a lot. Installed Macafee, now much quicker. Virtual memory usually ample set at default.
I have System Suite Installed, lots of features to clean things up but even that slows things a bit with regular updates.

optomistic - 12 Jun 2004 21:13 - 7490 of 23498

jeffmack, has the problem just arrived tonight? if so could be a 'local' problem, give it a day to see how it goes. By the way I find MAM is one of the slower sites, and I appear to be not on my own in this, probably because there is so much info ie adverts to download on logging on, small problem, worth putting up with!!

jeffmack - 12 Jun 2004 21:39 - 7491 of 23498

Opto
Just today so might be local.

jj50 - 12 Jun 2004 22:57 - 7493 of 23498

I take it the horses did well dd ........ Dom Pom on its way - nicely chilled. Sandwiches a bit more tricky, fridge needs re-stocking but shall see what I can do. There are nibbles on the bar, help yourself.

STORMCALLER - 12 Jun 2004 23:02 - 7494 of 23498

Somebody mention nibbles, somebody mention DP! I'M HOME!

STORMCALLER - 12 Jun 2004 23:03 - 7495 of 23498

Forgetting myself again, sorry.

Good evening all!

jj50 - 12 Jun 2004 23:05 - 7496 of 23498

Evening stormcaller. Help yourself to nibbles and I am sure we can another bottle of DP in the fridge....yup, here you go. Funny how the mention of bubbly and food brings you in..

STORMCALLER - 12 Jun 2004 23:11 - 7497 of 23498

JJ50,
I seem to recall a previous meeting, I behaved very badly in response to your generous hospitality.
My only excuse can be that I was overwhelmed by your presence, (and the fact I got logged off when they reset the site).
I have been searching for you ever since that I might beg forgiveness, (I bought flowers)
SC

jj50 - 12 Jun 2004 23:15 - 7498 of 23498

No need to apologise. Flowers very much appreciated.... another glass of DP perhaps or something to eat SC?:-) Rather quiet in here tonight.

STORMCALLER - 12 Jun 2004 23:18 - 7499 of 23498

Another would be very nice, and perhaps you would join me in a glass?
Then maybe a bite, all this travelling makes me hungry.

jj50 - 12 Jun 2004 23:24 - 7500 of 23498

Delighted to join you. Have you been travelling far this evening? We certainly had a storm last night but today has been wonderfully calm.

STORMCALLER - 12 Jun 2004 23:34 - 7501 of 23498

I am always travelling in answer to the call, going wherever my help is sought, but in answer to your original question, mention of food, when it reaches me, is almost irresistable, pray you never encounter my cooking, or you may learn the reason why!

STORMCALLER - 13 Jun 2004 00:17 - 7502 of 23498

Once again I am summoned from afar, and must leave, as ever in hopes that I may return soon
Goodnight
