THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Expected to be four week trial. Choosing jurors now.

HAY one thing is for sure CORBYN IS MORE A MAN THAN THE COWARD CAMERON WHO WAS OUR LEADER ,

Haystack - 17 Nov 2016 12:51 - 74851 of 81564

Corbyn was to speak last night at SOAS. He was a no show and left a large audience waiting for two hours before they left. Just an arrogant idiot.

Fred1new - 17 Nov 2016 15:25 - 74852 of 81564

Hays,

Sounds as if he is a member of the TM's arrogant cabinet when they are asked, "What does "Brexit" mean?".

VICTIM - 17 Nov 2016 15:41 - 74853 of 81564

I see you are on your soap box again Freda , don't like democratic decisions much do ya .

Garthyboy - 17 Nov 2016 15:47 - 74854 of 81564

What worries me about all of these so called 'freedom for the people' politicians is that half of them don't believe in climate change.
Now you can be xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, etc. But not believing in climate change when it affects all off us is simply ridiculous. What's the point in giving the people 'freedom' without a healthy planet in which to be free? I laugh when people say it doesn't exist. I, in all my years have noticed the difference. Don't you remember the snow we used to get?

MaxK - 17 Nov 2016 15:49 - 74855 of 81564

Not if they are the "wrong" democratic decisions.

Sort of goes along with voting the "wrong" way.

VICTIM - 17 Nov 2016 15:52 - 74856 of 81564

Maybe I meant democratic voting results .

cynic - 17 Nov 2016 15:58 - 74857 of 81564

Chris Carson - 17 Nov 2016 15:59 - 74858 of 81564

cynic - 17 Nov 2016 16:00 - 74859 of 81564

jimmy b - 17 Nov 2016 16:04 - 74860 of 81564

Garthyboy,

The climate will change, humans or no humans. We may move it along but we won't stop it just because we invented sliced bread and TV.

Cheers,
KidA

VICTIM - 17 Nov 2016 16:58 - 74864 of 81564

I wouldn't make a song and dance about it jimmy .

cynic - 17 Nov 2016 17:10 - 74865 of 81564

much as the deniers will continue to deny, i think the evidence is overwhelming that human activity is accelerating climate change
for sure you can't change the inevitable, but that does not been that sensible and genuinely workable actions should not be taken to put the brakes on ...... stop burning high sulphur coal shouldn't be too difficult, though i suppose the chinese will hate that

Fred1new - 17 Nov 2016 17:13 - 74866 of 81564

Manuel.

Were you born in 1947?

I thought it was a good year!

I can remember building igloos on the pavements and the snow being around for months.

It is the speed at which the temperature is increasing which is the problem.

But I suppose it doesn't matter when it effects short term self-satisfaction.

jimmy b - 17 Nov 2016 17:21 - 74867 of 81564

cynic born in 1947 , he was having trouble getting about by then .

2517GEORGE - 17 Nov 2016 17:27 - 74868 of 81564

So was I, it was bloody slippery.
