The HPD chart does not look like much, sagged from 14p flotation price and found a floor around 10p. However this gold exploration co., a spin-off from Brancote, has various projects on the go in New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and Chile.

Here is a crazy idea I have. I would only write it on this site which no-one reads anyway. From a recent Mineweb article about Meridian Gold, which bought Brancote for its Esquel project in Chubut province in southern Argentina, but project currently totally stalled due to local opposition:

"Rumours have begun to surface that Meridian may be considering selling a stake to a partner. An analyst who asked not to be named said an empowerment type partner, i.e. an Argentine investor, who could front on social issues to allow Meridian to operate the mine, might be a good idea.
Company spokesman Wayne Hubert said the company had no interest in selling off Esquel either in whole or in part."
Meanwhile, HPD has a joint venture with the local Miguens-Bemberg family, called Patagonia Gold. Anyway they would be in the frame wouldn't they? Just a thought.
Another potential partner would be Anglogold which has worked with Meridian in North America, and operates a successful mine Cerro Vangardia in a neighbouring province.
