Flackwell Vialli - 15 Jun 2004 19:39 - 77 of 189

Note that all the celtic vermin have decided to post on the boards now. What does a Scot know about sucess in a tournament ? What do they know about winning ?

Enjoy your moment whilst it lasts, we'll have far more to enjoy ourselves from both our own sucesses and Scottish/Welsh/Irish defeats.

daves dazzlers - 15 Jun 2004 19:43 - 78 of 189

come on germany, you no it makes sence.

gallick - 15 Jun 2004 22:40 - 79 of 189

All the teams have played now. Who has impressed? I would say France, Sweden and more questionably the Chech Rep. England were also good. As I suspected, Italy were rubbish, Spain poor and Holland and Germany the same. (As you can see I've been doing a lot of work recently).

Will England qualify? With Owen off form I think our survival depends on the goals coming from Rooney and Lampard. The trouble with Rooney is you cannot be sure that he will stay on the pitch! I think the Swiss and Croats will be out to wind him up.

daves dazzlers - 15 Jun 2004 22:47 - 80 of 189

agree on the later but i have to go with the czech`s,there the most fluid i think.as for owen i never rated him ,thats from a liverpool fan.larsson looks as if he`s never been away to me.

brianboru - 16 Jun 2004 00:15 - 81 of 189

At the moment the French are clear favorites @ 2.85 to 1 with the next team (Italy) drifting out to 6.2 to 1. That's on Betfair BTW.
I feel certain England will beat the Swiss and have upped my bet to a ton to win fifty eight and a bit.
This Scot *will* be cheering England!!!

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2004 07:50 - 82 of 189

now into the second set of group matches. i hope i have more luck in these games, than in the first group games,,,england, latvia ,germans, all going close for me but just failing, unlucky.

gallick - 16 Jun 2004 22:44 - 83 of 189

Moment of truth approaching for England. On a positive note, if England do qualify, they could meet Greece in the q-finals which would be a much better draw than France are likely to get.

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2004 22:55 - 84 of 189

its not going to good up to now,on my bets.fridays looks a nice bet,,i have sweden to beat italy ,of odds of 4/1 ,and sweden look handy roll on.

daves dazzlers - 17 Jun 2004 08:09 - 85 of 189

will stephane keep michael,,in his pocket?????????

bosley - 17 Jun 2004 11:01 - 86 of 189

brianboru , are you worth a bet today in the gold cup?

brianboru - 17 Jun 2004 12:34 - 87 of 189

At tens or better perhaps but Mr Dinos is red hot favorite and it will probably be between him and Papineau don't you think - I've a little wager on myself for a first @ 10.5/1 and a bigger bet for a place @ 2.5/1 though.

This is from the racing post...

04/06/2004 Vodafone Coronation Cup (Class A) (Group 1) (4yo+)

....The St Leger winner Brian Boru was warm in the preliminaries and lacked the pace for a top-class race at this trip. He stayed on from the back of the field, looking in need of further, and he would be a fascinating prospect in the Ascot Gold Cup if allowed to take up his entry.....

Still get 10's and above on betfair.

Good luck on whatever you pick :-)

Hills have brought me in to sixes so somebody fancies me ;-)

Fundamentalist - 17 Jun 2004 12:39 - 88 of 189

Brian

I think you are without doubt the fastest horse in the race, but I am a bit worried about your ability to last 2 1/2 miles - hows your stamina feeling?

AdieH - 17 Jun 2004 12:41 - 89 of 189

Can anyone confirm the name of the horse 3.40 ascot that k fallon is on please? Anyone fancy this one too?

brianboru - 17 Jun 2004 12:44 - 90 of 189

From http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=7886

3.45 - Brian Boru (E/W). Currently available@11/1. Steps into the unknown distance wise but the further he goes the better he seems to travel. Has a habit of idling once in front but if he stays he could have too much toe for these at the business end of the race. Handles fast ground, and if has inherited his Dam's stamina, he could be difficult to beat at these longer distances.
