Not good then?

What affect do you think this will have on the share price wilbs?

gavdfc - 29 Jun 2005 17:09 - 76 of 138

Wilbs,

Not a holder myself, but if I was, I'd be seriously hacked off that they held back on releasing this news until 4.30 when the market had closed. Can't comment on the rest of GOIL's prospects as I haven't looked at them. Even though this well was at no cost to Granby as the RNS states, I think it will be marked down quite sharply at the open. Just IMO.

BULLSHIT anouncement time and will probably have more of an effect than if it was at 07.00. some companies are SO BADLY advised.

syd443s - 29 Jun 2005 17:18 - 78 of 138

What will the price open at tomorrow? will it open the price it is now and go down as people sell or will it open with a completly different price? how does it work? Thanks peoples.

In for the long term it was only a finder well which most of them are failures, the company still has lots of assets.

proptrade - 29 Jun 2005 17:20 - 79 of 138

will open a leg down

gavdfc - 29 Jun 2005 17:20 - 80 of 138

Got to say I agree with what Prop's saying, wouldn't inspire confidence in management for me. If it gets marked down a lot then it may encourage further selling and increase the fall of the sp.

proptrade - 29 Jun 2005 17:25 - 81 of 138

not as bad as BA announcing layoffs a couple of general elections ago! expect anying less than a 30% decline as a result...sorry wilbs and Co. i sincerly hope they recover quickly.

wilbs - 29 Jun 2005 17:45 - 82 of 138

I think it will be marked down as there may be a few sells go through before the market opens. As syd says, its only a finder well and theres more wells to explore. Im not worries as im holding term and think the sp will recover after any drop. Next news will be the Philippines.
The weather is crap in Norfolk, thunder, lightning, torrential rain. What an end to a $h1t day!!!!!

wilbs

ELP will drop big time tomorrow as I think they put up some of the costs.

mbugger - 29 Jun 2005 18:07 - 83 of 138

Drill hole found water , what aload of crap Goil geoligists are , even if you walk down by the beach you will find water, even look up at the clouds you also will find water falling on your head, whataload of wasters /only waching still [with an umbrella].

Oracles - 29 Jun 2005 18:18 - 84 of 138

Yeah I mean nothing has really changed with Granby, its not cost them a penny and it was only a finder well. I mean they have developed a highly attractive UK North Sea exploration portfolio with net prospective resources of 281 mmbbl (risked net prospects of 59 mmbbl) and are one of the leading new generation UK North Sea exploration businesses.

read somewhere that finder wells are given odds of something like 5 to 1 for sucessfully finding oil.

Oh well only tomorrow will tell. Am holding anyway, might even be able to buy some more if they go any cheaper :-)

wilbs - 29 Jun 2005 18:28 - 85 of 138

mbugger why dont you go over to ADVFN if you dont hold. GOIL have a good team behind them. The first well had water, whooopeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Plenty more fish in the sea. Do us a favour and go on the seo thread and talk to your mates iidiot and seaquestor.

seawallwalker - 30 Jun 2005 07:42 - 86 of 138

I agree with that wilbs.

seawallwalker - 30 Jun 2005 08:01 - 87 of 138

Anyone feel brave?

The mark down is very overdone.............

I am a coward.

Mind you this is now ridiculosly cheap.

seawallwalker - 30 Jun 2005 08:21 - 88 of 138

Here she comes back again.

I'll just watch.

Goes to show, he has dares.........

wilbs - 30 Jun 2005 08:28 - 89 of 138

If I had some spare funds I would topup at these prices. Im going through a few with losses and may get rid. This is well cheap. They have not spent a penny yet and this was only the first well.

syd443s - 30 Jun 2005 09:24 - 90 of 138

Toppd up twice now, lots of buys comming at these prices.

wilbs - 30 Jun 2005 10:48 - 91 of 138

A few buys coming in now. I think this will recover sooner rather than later.
wilbs

syd443s - 30 Jun 2005 16:13 - 92 of 138

How long do you think it will take to recover above 1 Wilbs? Any guesses to when we could get some "happy" news about this company?

Cheers.

mbugger - 30 Jun 2005 18:25 - 93 of 138

See what you get whenyou find water, monster drop in sp, still say their geologists must be useless and should be fired , after monthes /years of evaluating 2-d seismic and 3-d seismic results ,pick the 'right spot' then hit water, what wasters ,they should be on the dole.

wilbs - 30 Jun 2005 18:28 - 94 of 138

Sounds like you mbugger are a waster, so why dont to do what your name suggests and ...... off and go and cash your giro and spend it on loads of cheap cider!!! You will have more fun!!!!

edit.

It must be like when you go to the doctors mbugger and the doctor looks into your head and expects to find a brain but as we can all imagine, THERES NOTHING THERE BUT AIR!!!!!!
