Nigel Farage is a MEP for the South East to your beloved EU Parliament, Will. I would have thought that more important to you than a mere MP to Westminster. Especially one that wears a yellow rosette. Fact is that Farage helped emancipate the UK and no amount of sour grapes is going to change that. UKIP also polled 60% more votes nationally than the Libdems in the GE, so he didn't do too bad.
If the EU was such a great place we wouldn't have hundreds of thousands wanting to move here every year.

Good job that he is slick or we would never have got the vote , although after some of yesterdays news i'm not sure we will ever get what we voted for.

the only certainty is that we are in for some "very interesting times", and i think quite a lot will be pretty scary

People with a bit of experience, say even 'doing a car boot sale', or haggling with buying or selling a car or a house, running a business, or anything that involves 'taking a risk/chance in a sensible way' are much the best sorts of people to feel enamoured towards Brexit.

Why?

Well, they can more easily feel optimistic about the future, once we've broken the shackles tying us to Europe, even though it involves risk.

Thirty or so years ago, my wife and I went on a 'British Rail Weekend' to London. Firtst Class Return rail tickets, nice hotel room, evening meals, theatre tickets, etc. etc, I'm sure you know the sort of thing.

Anyhow, we went shopping in 'Arrods, like wot you do, and they had a sale on. So we ended up buying some paintings from their art department. Three actually. And I had a bit of a haggle. I did pretty well for myself and seemed to be far better at getting a good deal for me, than the young gentleman, who served me, did for Harrods. I ended up getting one of the picture for free and even a bit more off as well.

Anyhow, back home, my sister took a look at these pictures and we told her about the shopping experience in Harrods.

"Ooooh! You didn't haggle with Harrods, did you? Oooh! I didn't think you could do that."

I'm pro-Brexit. My sister isn't. She wants to stay in the EU.

She has always been an employee and in 'education'. I've got a very experienced business history and background.

I'm trying to explain a bit of why we each think differently about things and particularly about Brexit. I hope you've got it.

It's a Birthday day today for me.

Have just sold my car. The very nice buyer (education background) didn't haggle very much at all. He even brought me a very nice bottle of red for my birthday. Very nice.

Off to fetch the new car later this morning. The salesman says it's going to take at least 1.5 hours or so, because among other things, we are going to need a 'teach-in' to learn how to let it park itself. (It does 'parallel' and 'slotting' - but only if it wants to and can).

I think we should have Farage on every Wednesday and Friday, with Billy Fury on a Thursday and Elvis on Saturday nights.

Just heard the Sarah interview and what a useless addition she's going to be to the House of Commons.

She got less than 50% of the vote in a constituency that voted about 70% to leave , great mandate you got there love not that here vote will mattere anyway.

BBC etc should take a leaf out of Julia's book and start ramming down the remoaners that we were all told many times by Cammy , Osbourne and co that a leave vote meant we would leave this single market.

We knew what we voted for so press the button and let's get out. EU want a deal then we'll give them one on our terms otherwise they can get to the back of the queue.

I'd also like to hear the interviews where Farage and Boris did worse than Olney , ffs she ran away. Sounded like she was on the phone so why didn't she even have the brains to hang up and pretend the line had gone down while getting some coaching off someone ?

Imagine a debate between Farage or Boris and Olney , I'd pay to watch that.
