Hi All,
From IBAW
German Packaging Ordinance now in force
The German packaging ordinance has entered in force since 28th of May 2005.
"Waste Management Objectives
The purpose of this Ordinance is to avoid or reduce the environmental impacts of waste arising from packaging. Packaging waste shall in the first instance be avoided; reuse of packaging, recycling and other forms of recovery shall otherwise take priority over the disposal of packaging waste. By 30 June 2001, the share of all packaging waste being recovered shall be 65 percent by weight and the share being recycled shall be 45 percent by weight. This Ordinance aims to increase to at least 80 per cent the share of beverages filled into reusable drinks packaging and ecologically advantageous one-way drinks packaging. The Federal Government shall conduct the necessary surveys on the respective shares and shall publish the results annually in the Federal Gazette. The Federal Government shall assess the impact on waste management of the provisions contained in Articles 8 and 9 by no later than 1 January 2010. The Federal Government shall report its findings to both the Bundestag and the Bundesrat."

paul, i didn't see any mention of exclusivity in today's rns , so , if seo want to do the same with reiser or anyone else, they are free to do so.

Bosley Hi,
Indeed no exclusivity, but we have heard nothing from Reiser for ages, and one would have thought that they would have been first with a deal like todays

Hi all(except seq that is),
There's more :)
IBAW were involved in the 'Kassel Project', described as "Kassel Project - Information about the worlds only pilot project for marketing and recycling of compostable packaging. made from biodegradable polymers"
http://www.modellprojekt-kassel.de/eng/downloads/kassel-project_brochure.pdf
And near the bottom of this page ....
http://www.wbcsd.org/plugins/DocSearch/details.asp?type=DocDet&ObjectId=MTIyMTk
The Kassel Project
Cargill Dow, in association with the city of Kassel, Germany, ran the worlds only pilot project for the marketing and recycling of compostable packaging made from biodegradable polymers. From May 2001 to November 2002, retail chains in Kassel sold about a dozen products in compostable packaging, including diapers, biscuits and confectionery, starch-based carrier bags, knot bags for fruit and vegetables, party flatware and drinking cups, etc.
Using a new labeling system for biodegradable packaging (BDPs), all BDP packaging was marked with a hexagon for ready identification and separation by the consumers. A promotional campaign explained the meaning of the hexagon with the compostability symbol in its centre to the 200,000-strong population.
Extensive market research was performed to analyze consumers attitude to the new packaging and the method of recycling it. By the end of the scheme, 82 percent of Kassels population knew that the hexagon was the symbol for BDP packaging. This shows that the simple, unmistakable symbol and the back-up campaign were effective.
Cargill Dows mission, built solely around sustainability, is to be the leader in producing plastics from annually renewable resources, while remaining dedicated to meeting the world's needs today without compromising the earth's ability to meet the needs of tomorrow. The companys fresh-in-natural marketing strategy has created strong consumer response among its partners, helping the company to act as a catalyst to get others to operate in more sustainable ways.

And more(not for seq)
http://www.iom3.org/materialsworld/mar04/news.htm
UK to choose model environmental city
The UK, together with Austria, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Hungary, will demonstrate the marketing and environmental sustainability benefits of compostable plastics packaging made from renewable sources through the BIO-6-PACK project. This new EU-bioplastics initiative, which aims to facilitate the Europe-wide market introduction of new packaging technology, will this year involve the participating countries identifying a 'model' city where bioplastics products will be sold and subsequently collected in a separate waste stream. In the UK, the municipality of Bexley, Kent, has already been chosen as a model city. Following in the footsteps of the Kassel project, a scientific study on biopolymers carried out from 2001-2003, BIO-6-PACK will adopt a multi-stakeholder approach, including raw materials suppliers, converters, waste management companies, retailers, the food industry, government NGOs, media and consumers. The project will provide the opportunity to compare market opportunities and barriers in different economical, ecological and social environments, and will demonstrate how new packaging technology can be adapted to individual markets.

i dont give a fig what anyone says....sets has stuffed the excitement/volatility here as on most shares.
for some reason i cant fathom, an AT trade of 50 shares moves the sp, but several hundred k comes in within the spread does not. not just talking seo but ANY sets stock.
ive asked dozens of times on numerous threads for an explanation, but no one seems to know.......over to you olie.

superod, i have noticed that since seo went sets the spread tightens for longer periods, 0.25p. i can't agree or disagree with what you say as we have yet to have any immediate impacting news, like orders or a usa deal /trial.
paul, there has been biodegradable packing for years, especially in europe and usa. i don't see the point of these long winded, dull posts . we already know that companies will be forced to move into using biodegradable products through legislation. seo are in a great position to capitalise on this , even more so since the aquisition of biotec, which is why i bought in 2 years ago. this aint new news.

Superrod Hi,
Maybe it's because traders can directly access the SETS system, and post loads of really low priced sells, way below the S.P, hoping that the price will drop towards them, and then they can just cancel the trade, just after they have closed their short that is ....
I guess because it is electronic, it is open to that kind of abuse by traders, just like SEAQ is open to MM games ....
Just a thought ....

Bosley Hi,
The spread has been zero a few times today, bid/mid/ask all the same price, it's very confusing, and online trades seem difficult, I tried a couple of dummy buys and sells, and got no offer of anything.
Re the packaging, maybe you know that, but not everybody does ....
If Stanelco join IBAW, you know who to thank :)

driver - your post 7554 - I said some time ago imo PM1 was out of SEO - he has been busy with other shares - but keeps posting on SE0 so that he can remain credible in some peoples eyes - he needs people to follow him into his new shares he intends to ramp up - probably all pie in the sky loss making companies - bad for a ramper to disappear off a thread after P+D.
The down trend still in effect - a sharp drop at the end of trading could mean a weak day coming - Modinini news is absolutely nothing - SE0 needs orders - lots of orders - there are over 1000 in the price already and they have just 2 confirmed - where are those hundreds of orders ? As October the 31st draws nearer - it looks very much like prelims in 2006 will be yet another loss from this loss making company thats made only losses and issued more shares for the past few years now.

From fillyaboots thread,
2 large buys after hours,
2,250,000 @21.63 =486,675
1,300,000 @21.4 =278,200
Some doubts about the poster?
Can anyone confirm.
