From iii this morning.

Re: Empik Gonner2003
Makes perfect sense Kimboy, would expect RNS soon to confirm details... Immediate future depends on who will pick the shares up... The brokers and board seem confident of the future and that is good enough for me...

That may be, but the confidence in Mr Worthington must be somewhat dented now, considering the recent reassurences you posted from him.

Would you not agree?

David10B - 18 May 2007 09:52 - 756 of 2037

I would have thought, that seeing how Mr Worthington normally is very responsive with his replies to his shareholders' questions, and he must have a ton today, the the lack of a statement on the biggest sale todate of COH shares could prove indicative of a big problem brewing.

If, as is being banned about one the financial BBs, it is indeed EMPIK that has dumped, this would signal, I believe, far bigger problems as Empik would not be dumping a good thing, would they?

Again simply postulating, if there are problems in the wind then these must be new and grave, otherwise it would have made sence for EMPIK to have dumped at the time of the placing at 41p, No one is going to just waste revenue!

Empik is there, in the middle of it, an indigenous company who have been around for years with a finger on the Polish/Eastern Euopean business pulse.

Dont forget also Mr Worthington, and another director, dumped at what is considered to be an unfavorable time-

The total dumped could equate to both EMPIK and possibly Mr Curries' shares, however all we can do is to guess wildly in the dark, in the absence of a company statement!

David10B - 18 May 2007 10:39 - 757 of 2037

AdieH please for the sake of other its time for sanity not your crazy posts such as this from iii

Re: Re: Gonner2003
4 million sell just gone through, def dumping of stock and it would make sense its empik... RNS should confirm this, doesn't change the company just direction...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It does change more than the direction which is obviously now down, and possibly out!

Any fool can see this company is in trouble.

I have been telling you all for ages it has no intrinsic value.

Please prove me wrong instead of what are now just your silly ramps.

David10B - 18 May 2007 12:22 - 758 of 2037

AdieH you are conspicuous through your absence on this BB today old chap!

Is there nothing to report from Mr Worhtington, seeing, as it apparent, the copious correspondance that you have been used to having from the company?

Could you kindly keep us informed as to what is going on please.

Many many thanks, David10B

driver - 18 May 2007 14:31 - 759 of 2037

May be a switch to CFE?

AdieH - 18 May 2007 14:45 - 760 of 2037

If you look at the trades 4 million was a sell this indicates possibly Empik might have dumped their shares, they bought at about 10p average, the rest are sells/buys normal days trading... Hopefully we get an RNS soon for an update on holdings. Once EMPIK removed we can get on with business... Expect an RNS soon for an update... Regards.

David10B - 18 May 2007 15:13 - 761 of 2037

Thank you AdieH but I think we should have had a RNS a lot earlier than now.

In reality don't you?

I am looking at the trades over the past two days, they add up to a lot more that the 4 million your refer to.

Something is very wrong here!

David10B - 18 May 2007 17:04 - 762 of 2037

Have a great weekend chaps, I trust there will be some good press for you all.

However as I have always stated the competition is coming and it does not look good for COH.

Good morning chaps we may get a dryish day today, still a bit cloudy and overcast though.

Talking about being cloudy, I took a quick peek in at the iii BB this morning to find AdieH in full swing as usual and he, as opterimistic as ever, put the following there.

Re: Empik Gonner2003
RW could not have mentioned anything in his correspondance with me anyway... but it does seem to have taken the company by surprise and your point is very valid kimboy the tie up with Empik does not fit with there branding really after witnessing this in Czech... They need to aggressively roll out new outlets now and use the 10m thats in the bank... If

Got to give it to him, 100% ever the positive, if not misguided person that he is. A really great and decent chap well suited for the ranks, blindly charging forward.

However, all that said if I were Mr Worthington overseeing these event from his secure vatange point(he took out almost 150000 pound at 48 ish), my shareholders would have been fully in picture by now as there is more than the assumed Empik dumping going on.

Its OK for AdieH to say that this dumping took COH by surpise, but that does not make good business sence to me as EMPIK was a major shareholder and when they bought into COH the bells were ringing and the clouds rolled back as the manna fell from the skies.

In other words read what Mr Worthington said at the time!

Surely the relationship could not have deteriorated so badly, so quickly!

Business is based on profit not sentiment, my contention that COH has yet to make serious money could be behind this, if indeed it is EMPIK that is in fact dumping.

But if it is then EMPIK it would be only reasonable to state that EMPIK has floor space to make money from and ckearly it could be that COH is just not capable of doing so.

Therefore out they go.

The big question for COH has to be that if EMIK initially thought it was a good idea to have coffeee shops in their retail outlets, then who will they put in to repalce COH?

Obviously to COH its brand name is its biigest asset and its market is still small, no room for still more competitive names in an already limited market place where prime site are at a pemium.

This must be a trying time for COH sharholders, and already there are others looking at a SP under 30p.

If it falls to that price there may even be difficutlty in selling your shares anywhere close to that

Whatever could be postulated over the current desperately tense situation, you can bet there are some very angry red faces withing the corridors of the insititutions that recently took up shares at 41p-

Finally I have been warning the BB of the fall in the COH share price for some weeks, clearly my researching is not as backward as some people would put forward here, as one email I recently had stated----Above all else David you seem to interperate quite well what is going on.

A nice and most welcomed point but one upon which you will have a to decide!

Have a really nice day.

AdieH - 19 May 2007 15:47 - 765 of 2037

I've squelched him would advise you do the same... you have to wonder for someone who wouldn't touch COH with a barge pole you do have way too much time spent on this board... There is quite an informative board on www.iii.co.uk if you want to go there until David decides to get a life...

David10B - 19 May 2007 21:28 - 766 of 2037

AhieH good eveing.

I wonder why on earth you would even begin to consider squelching a person who has called it right from his very first post on COH, while you have been saying it will be going up and its a great buy etc.

Just imgine the fate of those novice investors who may have listened to you.

I happen to care about those guys as I know the value of a buck, being, as I am, on a pension, and seemly far more cautious than you appear to be.

With respect AdieH, I thought that I had made it clear to this BB that since my retirement my life is now involved in renovating my newly bought house and learning an understanding of the stock market, which is why I post here.

So you see I have a life and its good.

When my house is finished and sell my current main home in Manchester, I will have realised my dream to live by the sea in Devon.

I will also have a surplus funds released to in order to be able to invest more in stocks, which is why I am studying the market now.

I was attracked to COH because of BB comments, however since researching the company I found it is mainly hype driven.

Oh I will admit that its had a good run, but unfortunately thats the power of hype over substance, and stock runs based on hype eventually run out of steam.

It was in fact your comments here, and then I discovered you on iii, that caused me to expound my contrary views

Also please consider that I have only made two main calls on this BB:-

A/ sell COH as its going to fall and

B/ buy MRL as its going to rise.

Both as of now called right.

Again with respect, when I said beware of COH you said it would go up!

This I found to be very interesting, as based on what reasoning or substantial research I really don't know, as you never did say

My findings clearly indicate that COH has little, or no intrisic value and is therefore is a very high risk share , just as RHPS called it some tme back.

I only try to present a balanced view: no doubt as time passes I will be the brunt objective of other shareholders in other shares, but how then are we to learn if we all become nodding donkeys.

Have really nice weekend. I really do have a very nice life, but thank you in any event for your kind concern.

David10B - 19 May 2007 21:38 - 767 of 2037

Just picked this up off iii

Subject Author RecsAll1+2+3+4+5+10+20+
20:33 Empik mackker
The Empik trading relationship has never materialised into anything of value and Empik now has greater need for the cash as it is not hitting its targets in its core business. COH does not need a relationship with Empik in order to achieve its growth ambitions it has good relationships with land lords and a cash rich balance sheet. The timing of the Empik disposal is unfortunate so soon after the company's own fund raising. However it is worth considering that investors have now absorbed well over 20m primary and secondary shares over the last 2 weeks (some 20% of the comapny's equity base). This is a positive sign of support from institutional investors. This remains a very valuable company with a strong brand franchise in a fast growing consumer market.

It all maybe perfectly correct and yes investors have picked up a lot of shares. However there is no doubt they would be a lot happier today if they had indeed picked then up at the dumpig price over the past two trading days.

Surely it can be seen that this dumping is not a very positive sign for COH, and that there must be a further falls in an already overstretched and ambitiously valued company!

Besides all that it never really achieved much since the following notice, except perhaps to rake the shareholders for more and more cash.

All this and not a word from the COH board.

While Mr Worthington was feeding AdieH honey, he obviously knew this all the time.

Rather bad show chaps!

[May 15, 2007] Empik Media and Fashion Reduces Q1 Losses

(Polish News Bulletin Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) In the first quarter of 2007, EM&F group, managing 306 retail and service centres in the fashion, beauty product and entertainment segments, recorded revenue of ZL296m, at the same time incurring net losses of ZL2.8m. In Q1 of 2006, the two figures amounted to ZL217m and ZL4.2m, respectively. "The sector we operate in is specific in the sense that a large part of our annual revenue is generated in the last quarter of the year. On the other hand, the first three months of the year are usually rather unsuccessful. Nonetheless, we managed to reduce the losses incurred during this period year-on-year," says EM&F CEO Maciej Dyjas.

*****The group's plans for 2007 foresee opening 70-90 new stores, which will cost it up to ZL90m, and launching a new brand called Jennyfer targeted at teenage customers. At the same time, EM&F is considering selling its share in the Coffee Heaven cafe chain. \nc 01000000 \nc 04007000***********

Informative post from Rafa on iii, I wont cut and paste but would suggest you take a read... Regards.

David10B - 20 May 2007 10:56 - 770 of 2037

If Empik was not a good deal initially then oviously it was poorly researched to start with.

That now apparently being so, would add further support for my opinion on the COH management team.

Furthermore AdieH, with respect, getting this information from the public domain, and not directly from the CEO has the appearance of relegating the small shareholder to the second row.

I mean being as you are normally in such close contact with Mr Worthington.

As suggested to regular posters, use the squelch facility it works a treat as I see David continues to post. As I haven't read I would guess he is still on the personal agenda against RW and the COH board, add iii to your favourites some good discussion and posts over there... Regards.
