The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.
Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

Do you think that opening the plant will have a big inflence on the share price? If you don't , then i can't see any reason for holding BFC , and can any one shed some light on why DOO just lost 15% of their value in the past few days?

If the plant opens ,the SP should take a good spike up, if it's delayed again ,then it really tanks ...I sold, because like many on here i was'nt prepared to gamble anymore..

Can any of you folks tell me what has fuelled the near doubling of the share price from a low of 77.5p mid December to its current 130+p price level?
The only news that I've gleaned from Squaregain is that a resolution has been passed to increase borrowing, and two directors have bought some 24,000 shares at 102.5p
Where else can I find out more about what is happening at the company?
Thanks in anticipation,
LL

LL,
I think about 6 directors have bought shares this month, though none of them have spent a huge amount. It looks to me like the same thing that has happened to BFC over and over again - the share price moves before news is announced - it is obviously a very leaky company - but as Jimmy says, don't hold your breath waiting for the company to tell you anything.

I think the renewable energy sector is a sector to get into in 2006. BFC still look cheap at 138p.

Looks cheap if they get the plant running ,otherwise it will look bloody expensive.

hlyeo98, it doesn't look cheap if the company go into administration in February, as Jimmy says, it's a game of roulette at the moment. I wouldn't buy until the plant is up and running - even then I doubt I would as I don't trust the management - they have treated shareholders very badly.

The 6 directors are buying into the shares...might be a good indication the plant would be up and running in february.

I was once a huge bull on this share. But since the awful loans they have negotiated with Barclays and the fact that they can't ever seem to get that factory finished, I have turned into a huge bear on this one. LIBOR+7%! I don't think their profits will ever be more than that!
This Co. now belongs to Barclays!

The directors buying was not great, but you wouldnt throw money after bad if you thought the plant would not open....
Still going great guns at the minute though, was that there final word on the opening??? February??
Quite close is that

BFC has an article in the Shares Magazine this week. Positive article.

Hlyeo98,
It refers to the directors buys being a good sign and further orders leading to higher profits this year. Unfortunately it forgets to mention that there wont be any profits for the current owners if the plant isn't finished by the end of february - it will all go to Barclays as tallsiii says.
Directors buying would suggest the plant may be completed by the deadline, but none of them have commited huge sums of money have they?
I hope for whoever still holds, this company does succeed, but personally I think it is a share that is best avoided for the time being until the picture becomes clearer.
