THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I think when Obama's period in office will be reviewed favourably by those who are not as blinkered as you appear to be.

I await to see what May, Trump and Fauxpage achieve.

I thought that dot was your reply about Obama . Sort of sums him up .

cynic - 16 Jan 2017 10:16 - 75747 of 81564

certainly obama left usa in a much stronger economic position than when he assumed office

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2017 10:23 - 75748 of 81564

Perhaps, Maybe and Hammond and the "exiters" will leave England as a Banana republic.

Of course, that is with a little help from Donald, a new-found friend. (Reminds me of a tramp steamer looking for any port in a storm.)

I hope it won't end up as a burnt out bonfire.

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2017 12:22 - 75753 of 81564

Glad to see Dumbo and Trainer Vicky are on trolling duty!

jimmy b - 16 Jan 2017 12:28 - 75754 of 81564

Only made one comment in the last week or so and that was about the Stoke election .
Look at yourself Fred calling everyone childish names ,posting over and over and you call me a troll. Sad man .

ExecLine - 16 Jan 2017 12:59 - 75755 of 81564

Interesting to see how most 'academic twit lefties' like slotting people into categories and also giving them nicknames.

Anyhow, if you look back at Fred's postings, you can see he does this. Masses of it, actually. I wonder if he is a 'leftie' too?

The two above posters suffering massively from a mental disorder
called 'deluded', thankfully they should now get the treatment they desperately
need with the election of D.Trump..

cynic - 16 Jan 2017 13:23 - 75757 of 81564

confess i am quite amused to be called manuel, and i know why i have been given that name by fred

grannyboy - 16 Jan 2017 13:24 - 75758 of 81564

Why, are you from Barcelona?

grannyboy - 16 Jan 2017 13:26 - 75759 of 81564

And is your pet name for fred, when you are alone together Juaneeta...

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2017 14:06 - 75760 of 81564

Exec,

The sobriquets I use are in response to contents of postings by a few on this thread.

They caricature for me how certain posters present themselves.

As posted before I think of myself, slightly left of the moderate political centre and certainly not a populist right wing radical as many on this thread appear to be.
(I question whether simple full blown “capitalist” theory has served its time.)

Also think it is reasonable to challenge or mock the populist right wing, whose philosophy and actions seem to be to challenge the coherence of an integrated society and the mutual benefits of such for their own personal short-term gains.

Nicknames are used to highlight the virtues of some of the posters for my ongoing amusement.

(Pompous Yes....)

-=-==
PS. I was born before WWW 2 and grew up after it seeing the craziness of some left wing expectations and practices during 50s.60s.70s and even later. But was even more aware of the fallacies of M. Thatcher and cohorts.

VICTIM - 16 Jan 2017 14:57 - 75761 of 81564

Basically you can't stand anything going on around you or want it , but fail to attempt to do anything about it for how long ? , never mind you must get pleasure out of being here or you don't get on with people of a similar type to you . I suppose you just like playing with people .

Fred1new - 16 Jan 2017 16:23 - 75762 of 81564

Some games and some people.

explosive - 16 Jan 2017 16:32 - 75763 of 81564

I for one are all for Trump. About time the yanks had a straight talking president who's not afraid to offend. The world's gone too bloody PC if you ask me.
