Or maybe not. Oh well, back to the prices pages. Decided what to spend your booze voucher on? You must be the first person to have sat in the leading position for several days in a row. They should double the value for that.

I see Winson Green even gets a mention in the Bangkok Post:
'Prison bosses in Britain have ordered warders to address inmates by their first names and knock politely on the door before entering cells.
The move follows a government report aiming to improve the ''quality of life'' of convicted criminals.
The ''decency agenda'' is already in place at Birmingham's Winson Green Prison where the more than 1,400 inmates include murderers, rapists and robbers. '

perhaps my fault .... re done it .... and works for me now ....
PS: Forgot to mention this part later in the article (which was also why I posted it).
'British men spend the equivalent of one day every year queueing at bars for a pint, a survey reveals.
The average drinker waits two hours each month in pubs and clubs _ treble the time women have to wait.
Londoners are worst hit, working up a thirst for 46 days in a lifetime.
George Workman, of rent-a-keg.com which carried out the poll, said: ''It's staggering to find out how long people are forced to queue.''

Looks like you are off your perch at the close Stan. Should we all flog everything tomorrow to help you on your way? What's it worth?

"Should we all flog everything tomorrow to help you on your way?"..That would be most kind. "What's it worth?" Got to be at least a round -):

Nah, sorry Stan, expected a bit more than a round! Seriously though, I think you are the first to have held the leader position for so long, and a shame to be pipped at the very end. Be sure that we'll all be watching like a hawk to see your prediction for the twelth month.

Received email Chris thanks, never mind understand the priorities.
No news from Ian or decision from Corgie so think it might be a good idea to postpone the meal until middle of January, will also give Fred some more time for recovery.
What do you say gang?

It is OK by me. Off to London on the 20/12, but as things are creeping up all round until Xmas, probably better to have the next meeting mid Jan,

As per Stan's original post. Next Wednesday is OK with me. So it looks as though a triumvirate (or a troika, if you prefer) at least is attainable.
Hope the good doctor is aware that if he is going to be driving in London, then the "congestion" charging zone has been extended. If he isn't driving, then he will find the beer cost will swallow up all his savings on not buying petrol..........
