Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

shezzalad: Glad to hear your login problems have gone away. We must have done something right.

MM, Mike, Hilary
Thanks for your help. Had an E.Mail from Websense advising that they will soon rebrand you as Financial. So once again work can take a back seat while I enjoy MoneyAM.

The login problems have come back! This time though the login screen says NOT logged in. It happens on going from thread index to a thread.

Kayak:

There was a glitch on 28 Feb/1 Mar when I couldn't log in -- apparently the app server had stopped. Jonathan is looking into it.

Could that by any chance be related?

MM

Is this the correct place to request enhancements to L2?

Peter

Bullshare - 02 Mar 2003 14:59 - 766 of 7315

PeterF; Yes, please do put them here.

Kayak - 02 Mar 2003 17:15 - 767 of 7315

MM it only occasionally happened, but I will confirm next time it happens.

Another point: following a link to a thread that has since been removed produces the following, it could be coded more neatly:

MM, well, the login problem just happened again. BTW it started happening after the last planned downtime :-)

Hi guys
Wheres the news this morning

Kayak - 04 Mar 2003 07:32 - 770 of 7315

The time on your BB servers needs to be synchronised a little...

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2003 07:49 - 771 of 7315

Jeffmack,

We are aware of the problem and are working to restore the service at the moment.

Kayak,

I will speak to our tech guys to get the times syncronised.

Stockwatch went about 5 minutes ago and won't respond to 'refresh' attempts. Message at bottom of screen says
load: class com deltastream applet. stock applet not found

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2003 08:01 - 773 of 7315

Vasey,

can you try refresh again, it should all be ok now.

thanks, it's OK now. Oh, and I checked the L2 URL against the GNI this morning and the am definitely doesn't come on until after the auction. Is it on a timer thingy? Blank of data (but coloured parts present) and at 8am everything feeds through.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2003 08:04 - 775 of 7315

Jeffmack,

Sorry for the delay, you should be able to access the news service now.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 04 Mar 2003 08:42 - 776 of 7315

Vasey,

We had a small problem with the feed just before 8am, hence the blank screen that you were seeing.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Cheers

Hi. I could not get straight to the traders room today. Normally I click on "Traders Room" from the home page, I am then routed to the login screen where my details appear automatically. I then click "log in" and am routed on to the traders room page.

Today, after the log in page, I kept ending up with a blank page instead of the traders room.

To get round it, I closed/re-opened the browser (IE), went to your home page. Clicked on "log in", logged in, after which I was routed back to the home page. Then, having already logged in, clicked on "Traders Room" and all was fine.

Sorry if you already know about this problem, but I couldn't see any notes about it.

It's the first time since launch I've had a problem, and have not changed anything on my setup, so I guess something has changed at your end ?

Cheers.
