Pursuit Dynamics, the developer and licenser of the innovative and patented PDX
(R) technology, which has applications across a broad range of industries, is
pleased to announce that its global exclusive licensee for its PDX FireMist(R)
fire suppression technology, Tyco Fire & Building Products ('Tyco') has provided
an update on progress.


Tyco has informed Pursuit Dynamics that it has met all of the initial milestones
specified in its licensing agreement with the Company. These include:


o Mechanical Property Testing. The primary objective of this task was to
review the configuration of the discharge nozzle to determine the ability to
apply standard spray nozzle mechanical tests to the device and this was
successfully accomplished.

o Component Acquisition. A complete, dedicated data acquisition system
capable of monitoring all nozzle input parameters (pressures, flowrates, and
temperatures) as well as a very large number of output parameters was procured,
assembled, and calibrated and successfully and accurately captured all of the
parameters desired.

o Target Hazards/Applications. A preliminary review of water mist
application categories and approval standards was undertaken and initial target
markets identified. The selected markets are characterized by strong growth
conditions, favorable environments for the deployment of new technology and
clearly identified unmet fire protection needs

o Target Customers. Two to three potential beta sites/applications have
been identified, and discussions intended to clarify functional and performance
requirements are ongoing. There has been significant interest in the technology
but initial commercialisation activities will be limited to those that represent
the fastest route to market combined with the greatest likelihood for similar
applications.


In addition, and outside the scope of the initial milestones, intermediate scale
testing by Tyco has been ongoing to develop empirical models relating nozzle
input parameters to fire suppression/extinguishing potential. This critical
activity will greatly facilitate the application of the technology to the
broadest number of applications.


Commenting on the update, John Heathcote, Pursuit Dynamics' Chief Executive,

PDX trading statement worrying?

Now the company is playing up great increase in food sales BUT remember they bought in March a company called BPT Skerman that had a yearly turnover of 2.9m !!

Now they are jumping up and down about 6 months sales -- presumably incl 6 months sales of BPT --- of 1.4m

No mention of how many, if any, pumps they have sold !!

Sure rest of business looks great but is the food business going the way of, dare I say it, SEO?

Picked up 10,000 shares @ 70.9p a share. Keeping an eye on the SP today. If it shows any sign of weakening I'm going to dump them. Simon Cawkwell reckons they have still much further to fall! He is not always right though, so I'm watching and waiting. Anybody else a bit nervous?

I don't wish to rain on anyone's parade if they're enjoying themselves with this stock, but after a quick look at the Interims before popping onto this thread and reading the last 14 posts, I have to ask (and Confidant beat me to the quote!), "does this not give the impression of tanking like SEO at the moment?"

Loss for full year likely to be 3 mil; only 10 mil net assets, market cap still an ambitious 37 mil. The only good point in the figures is that they have virtually no debt.

Then there is the outlook: "Sales pipeline of firm orders and outstanding customer-requested quotes currently stands at a multiple of first half turnover, confirming continued growth in line with expectations." This appeared encouraging at first sight, but turns out on reading the recent trading statement to be only 0.6 mil.

I like the company's products in principle, but am wary of too much jam tomorrow (having been rendered fairly cynical by six months of watching SEO). However, this could be a bargain in the making and I will continue to watch and read with interest.

PS - UC, I think you're well advised to be wary of catching a falling knife. It would take solid good news to create a sustained rise in the SP and for my money it wouldn't be worth getting involved before that situation became a reality.
