THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Westminster Bridge was closed to traffic earlier to accommodate a 'vigil' in which large numbers of the UK's Muslim community attended so as to condemn last week's attack and to try to promote peace. In volumetric terms the bridge was about 1/3rd full of people, IMHO.

More at: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3207458/vigil-westminster-bridge-mourners/

A 1 min period of silence was also observed.

Perhaps lots of Muslims feel the previous condemnations haven't been strong enough?

Perhaps this is a 'turning point of condemnation'?

Anyhow, I predict, that for the next 'Islamic terrorist' offence against the people, the Muslim condemnation response attendance will be very, very much greater.

i certainly hope so, and would love to hear their leaders speak up very loudly indeed and not just in their local communities and newspapers

'Feeding the "needs" of the English communities'

What makes you so sure it was for the benefit of the 'English' communities?
After all in multi-cultural Britain there is plenty of other nationalities and
communities that have the need of drugs...YOU for example, taking into account
the rubbish you post, you've got to be on some drug or other..

MaxK - 29 Mar 2017 15:48 - 76313 of 81564

No wimmin on the march?

grannyboy - 29 Mar 2017 16:12 - 76314 of 81564

They're not allowed to mix with men, in multi-cultural feminist Britain.

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2017 17:59 - 76315 of 81564

Yes. How strange. Not a sign of merely one of them.

Hmmm?

Ah, yes. Obviously, the Muslim women must be at home looking after the kids. There's no other answer for it.

aldwickkk - 29 Mar 2017 21:18 - 76316 of 81564

I didn't see women on the march, but after there was a row of men standing behind a row of Muslim young girls on the bridge showing support. That was on the BBC news.

ExecLine - 29 Mar 2017 22:55 - 76317 of 81564

Oh, really?

So what then About 10-15 women or so?

iturama - 30 Mar 2017 08:00 - 76318 of 81564

Let's be thankful that at least some men turned up. The gender issue will take generations to sort out.
On the business of encryption, I am not in favour of any government having access to my messages because of the actions of a relatively few maniacs. We are all inconvenienced at airports because of the threat from them. Profiling would help reduce the nonsensical searching of the elderly and children at airports. As for the Westminster killer, why not just open his phone rather than demand Facebook give access to the whatsapp messenger service of everyone?

aldwickkk - 30 Mar 2017 10:56 - 76319 of 81564

Facebook give access to the whatsapp messenger service of everyone? They didn't say that did they ? What if it was being used by Paedophiles ? Wouldn't it be best if they informed the intelligent services voluntary, Facebook & google could do it , they block your content if there is copyright content, or when it suit's them.

Haystack - 30 Mar 2017 13:01 - 76320 of 81564

My guess is that the intelligence services can access the terrorist's WhatsApp posts. The complaints are for public consumption and to muddy the waters regarding any info obtained.

You could not make it up....We've had many car crash interviews by the
(ex) Green leader Natalie Bennett..Then on the Daily Politics last week they
had an interview with the Greens Amelia Womack...which was another car
crash interview, this morning on the Marr show, the BBC in their efforts at
limiting the chances of the Greens humiliating themselves once again, had
invited two...YES two from the Green party, Caroline Lucas and the
deputy leader? ..

And they still can't make a sensible argument to even consider anyone
giving them their vote..

cynic - 02 Apr 2017 14:35 - 76326 of 81564

if by open borders you mean a la merkel, then you're asking for trouble but not necessarily from those whom you love to despise or even hate
