Business Wire release on the Mondini agreement...

July 20, 2005 04:31 PM US Eastern Timezone

Stanelco Confirms Mondini as Manufacturing Partner; Companies Team up to Develop New RF-seal Tray Lidding Machines

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2005--Stanelco plc (LSE:SEO.L), the RF applications group, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a commercial agreement with G. Mondini Spa, a leading manufacturer of tray lidding machines, to jointly develop a purpose-designed radio frequency (RF) tray lidding machine using Stanelco's GREENSEAL(TM) technology.

"This is the next step in the progression and implementation of RF technology in the packaging industry. Mondini is a world leader in tray lidding machines, and we are thrilled at the opportunity to work with such a well-respected company," said Stephanie Morgan-Fisher, director of North American operations in Orlando, Florida.

The agreement is the first by Stanelco with an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This is an important development, as it will allow Stanelco to supply its technology to suppliers as part of new OEM machines without going through the retrofitting process. It will greatly speed up the acceptance of the GREENSEAL technology as an industry standard within the packaging industry.

The new machine will initially be made available to suppliers of ASDA Stores Ltd (ASDA) in the United Kingdom and Ireland in accordance with an agreement between Stanelco and ASDA signed in March of this year.

"Other trials of GREENSEAL(TM) technology and our biocompostable food tray material, provisionally named Starpol2000(TM), are progressing extremely well. We are very encouraged at the initial response we are having both in the UK and North America. We look to change the face of food packaging and introduce cost-competitive alternatives to those currently in use," said Morgan-Fisher.

Giovanni Mondini, president of G. Mondini Spa commented, "We are delighted to enter into this association with Stanelco. The combined experience and expertise of two market leaders in sealing technology will accelerate the radical modification of tray sealing across the globe."

every drop seems to kick start more sells. stop losses being triggered?

jimmy b - 21 Jul 2005 10:31 - 7649 of 27111

Some where down the road this will be a bargain,,any news of proper orders and i'm back in , but it looks like sliding more right now..

Sequestor - 21 Jul 2005 10:32 - 7650 of 27111

jim
I always said it would come back at 17p- nearly a million traded on VX now.

jimmy b - 21 Jul 2005 10:34 - 7651 of 27111

Why 17p seq ???

proptrade - 21 Jul 2005 10:35 - 7652 of 27111

well...looks like we are in a bit of tailspin here. i am long higher up but think that this is all about finding the right level since SEO went SETSmm. maybe that level is closer to 5p but i doubt it very much.

I rarely get sucked into a story but the reason i am long here is because i believe this company to have a product that could change the face of packaging. They have proved that is works, they have an agreement with Asda and who knows the US potential.

OK, maybe things ran ahead of themselves but i would not put it past this company to not just have 1000 machines in the price but once a reasonable number (200) is established then the "snowball" effect should see a reasonable bid premium built in from any number of conglomerates.

short term weakness i can bear on the basis that the longer term prognosis is excellent.

oops took another look at the chart jim, I thgt. it might bounce back from the 200 MA, at 17- looks even lower than that now. poss 15p-unless you know of any good news which might appear, that seems to be the scene,

shame so many were sucked in- a classic ramp, I see they have all dumped now, should be a law against it.

superrod - 21 Jul 2005 10:46 - 7654 of 27111

unless news ( and bloody good news ) comes sooner rather than later, im afraid olie will be right. ( love him or hate him, hes right more often than not ).
the only glimmer of immediate hope is that RHPS have something positive to say. on the other hand they may well say enough is enough and recommend selling.

good luck all holders, red is a very painful colour.

aldwickk - 21 Jul 2005 10:49 - 7655 of 27111

Out at 20p this morning it looks like 17p it is, even T F C dropped by to confirm it and i hate to admit it but Sequestor was right.

Sequestor - 21 Jul 2005 10:52 - 7656 of 27111

I don`t gloat, I only punt to make money, by luck i am short, its a volatile share and has to be ridden hard- it`ll bounce a bit eventually, then is the time to get in-- then out again sharpish.

Fred1new - 21 Jul 2005 10:58 - 7657 of 27111

The total volume of sales are reasonable. But I can't see any large institutionals sells. (Unless they are not being shown until after the bell. My guess is that small holders with decent profits are jumping off to proedect what they have made. It will be interesting to see if there is any large buys at the close of market. My guess and hope is there will be, or it is going to take longer for this company to come to fruition than I thought.

Paulo2 - 21 Jul 2005 10:59 - 7658 of 27111

Top bombing!!!!

Sequestor - 21 Jul 2005 11:10 - 7659 of 27111

proptrade - 21 Jul 2005 11:34 - 7660 of 27111
