THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Quite right too!

MP's are far too busy with their 2nd, third, fourth et al jobs to have any interest in the plebs problems.

That's just for show..

VICTIM - 03 May 2017 07:31 - 76626 of 81564

We haven't heard from you much lately Hays , what's your thoughts on the situation regards May , election result , etc .

Laurenrose - 03 May 2017 08:56 - 76627 of 81564

abbot the face of the labour party , if you love the uk then do not destroy it by voting labour . they will give away the uk to anyone who wants to take it over
under labour their will be no safe place to live your children will never get a job never get a home . but will be able to go begging

Dil - 03 May 2017 09:02 - 76628 of 81564

The prospect of Diane Abbott as our next Home Secretary epitomises why so many Labour voters won't be voting Labour this time round.

What a clueless prat she is but doing a great job for the Conservative campaign.

The fuss over the dinner at number 10 seems to be part of a strategy by some in the EU to interfere with our GE. They would be happier to be dealing with a weak Corbyn. Expect more supposed leaks showing May as Delusional. The EU is trying to stoke pressure for a second referendum. The last thing the EU wants is large majority for May.

The EU is experiencing the five stages of bereavement; denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Not sure how far they have got.

Haystack - 03 May 2017 12:04 - 76632 of 81564

Latest #GE2017 poll*

CON = -75%
LAB = 28,000%
LDEM = 30 miles per hour
UKIP = 2 apples + 3 bananas

*Commissioned by Diane Abbott

Fred1new - 03 May 2017 12:08 - 76633 of 81564

I see Hays has gone back to Party HQ.

Told to preach the mantras.

Dil - 03 May 2017 12:16 - 76634 of 81564

Lol come on Fred it is funny.

VICTIM - 03 May 2017 12:17 - 76635 of 81564

Dead right Hays the EU is getting dirty .

Dil - 03 May 2017 12:22 - 76636 of 81564

It's still in denial at the moment which will move to anger sometime after June 8th when the country gives May massive backing for her Brexit negotiations and the EU realise there is no turning back and she tells them where to shove their leaving bill.

cynic - 03 May 2017 12:39 - 76637 of 81564

as i am sure will be pointed out by others, the tories are indeed likely to get a majority of >30 seats, and perhaps many more, but if so, much will be due to disillusionment or distaste of corbyn and the hard left unions and similar

there's certainly a great many other issues (health, education, police etc) than brexit that need urgent attention
however, i think brexit must take precedence, as the outcome of those negotiations will have a direct and significant impact on how the rest of the economy can be managed

assuredly some difficult times (years) ahead

Laurenrose - 03 May 2017 12:57 - 76638 of 81564

CYNIC I AGREE WITH 855 OF YOUR POST

but the uk will be fine the uk has already got 8 trading deals done . and still in talks with the usa . which will be great news

cynic - 03 May 2017 13:16 - 76639 of 81564

time will tell :-)
there's certainly going to be serious fun and games to be played out over the next 18/24 months

VICTIM - 03 May 2017 15:24 - 76641 of 81564

Sorry Maxk you've lost me with that .

black bird - 03 May 2017 15:54 - 76642 of 81564

d abbott voted in from like to like voters regardless, of ability job for life. no qualafications needed, I'm wishing i had done the same what an easy life. BB

2517GEORGE - 03 May 2017 15:58 - 76643 of 81564

Well there's only one side in the Brexit argument wanting constructive talks, and it's not the EU. Our 'May-ed of Steel' is showing the Brussels brigade for what they are, a bunch of bullies.
They never learn, it was such tactics that turned many away from the EU in the referendum.

Haystack - 03 May 2017 16:01 - 76644 of 81564

As I said earlier

BBC breaking news

"May accuses the EU of making threats to influence the election".
