LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.
Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.
In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.
Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels
As usual, pls do ur own research.

Tried a couple of days of eating junk food, drinking wine and beer, basically doing what I shouldn't! B/s readings 6.5 yesterday, 6.4 today; they would normally have been in excess of 9. I am impressed!

Although, if you mean to categorise it in the junk food label, maybe I should give it a go!!

at least the Actimel story tells me why it is taking so long for PVX to get "the wording approval" ...... seems to me, that what they actually have to do is come up with some pretty persuasive evidence that Fruitflow does what they claim, so it could all be 6/12 months away - and that assumes they get the nod.
am i wrong, comme d'habitude?

Surely you aren't always wrong? :o) But in this case half wrong! Fruitflow is already approved as doing what it claims; the wording to go on the box is still being worked on, though I don't know why it is taking so long.

then why do all these trials continue - e.g. per the one whose results were announced the other day?

if it does what it says on the tin, then just maybe that wise adage will not prove correct in this instance - i don't have a significant holding anyway

Cynic, the present ongoing trials are separate to the Fruitflow addition to Sirco, it is the wording that is presently on the Sirco carton is that is under review.
I would like to think that there will be many more lines that Fruitflow can follow in addition to the Asprin trials.
Fruitflow is not the only string to the Provexis bow, it will be interesting to see how the company develops and although the clinical trial for its NSP#3G plantain medical food for Crohns disease patients is in it's infancy, it already shows promise.
I wonder where the sp will end up tomorrow after the addition of the new shares?!

the crohn's treatment is years into the future .... even the very first human trials won't be completed for another 18 months

Well, the much mooted share price collapse, around various boards, to 2.5p hasn't happened yet and with the largest transactions appearing to be buys it would seem those who were allowed to buy at 2.5p are reluctant to part with what they have, or they are selling to those willing to pay above the present odds. I don't know whether I should be excited or apprehensive!

Starting to get a bit pissed off here. With the bloody share price, in the last hour weve had approx 500,000 buys to 30,000 sells and the price is down. Plus heaps more buys than sells nearly daily yet the bloody price keeps falling. Makes no sense.
