A rule of thumb for valueing IEC would be 1 for every (P2)barrel of oil to the Market value + about50m cash in hand. 321mmbls(P2)+50m= 371 @ present M/Capital= 369m.
50.76m shares in issue.
So estimates of between 400/500mmbls P2 reserves expected in March, could value the company at somewhere between 8.50p/11,at present 720/726p.
Their will also be the production to take into account, which should be 2000bopd?
And come late summer when the pipelines come on tap, producing up to 10,000bopd

mola, i read advfn. Theirs a lot of excellent posters with sranmal being the best.
Just like to spread the news, disappointing so little interest as those who invested
when i 1st set up the thread, would have bought below 3. Come the end of the
month a further update on reserves followed by a more comprehensive report
via Final Results should see the SP break through 9. aimho

Hi guys, I've been in these since April 04. Haven't sold any and topped up on dips.
Any ideas how far these will go. Or is a takeover going to spoil the party.

brian you have done well must have got in under 2 (3 my best average 4.5)
as you must be aware broke 9 today, news on the horizon and more end of March. Will get a better idea of what to expect with regards to SP, hoping for
30+ myself, but thats somewhere in the future.
mola checkout the OIL thread some great news.

Cyril, fortunately got a tip early doors on this one. Best 1.2 average 3.9
I've always thought 20 possible, but agree 30 now seems on the cards if they keep doing as they promise. Long term hold for me. Thought about trying to trade out on peaks & back in on dips, but worried I get it wrong and end up out all together. Good luck, a quality stock imo.

IEC announced an up grading of reserves by the end of Feb(the next 3 days of trading). What the SP will be depends upon how many have already bought into this news. Much will depend on the size of the increase reserves, also we could also find a lot of profit taking?
However along with the finals due end of March, it seems that the company is
making great headway. So all positives and come the completion of the pipelines,
an aggresive drilling program (increasing P2 reserves)coupled with increased output(6000bopd expected late Q3), a healthy growth in value is to be expected?

niceonecyril ---- let's have another one
still the cheapest oil stock as far as I can see --- 800M barrels 2P for MC 550m plus c20-30m cash
Question is how much will Gazprom want to pay per barrel for it. Sadly it is totally their call

Hopefully they will pay the market price, or just buy the whole company

Brian;Actually felt it was time to take some profits, with the market showing
volitility, thought it best? Still believe theirs a big upside, March update, moving to the main market and once the pipelines have been completed with the extra output.
So, happy to hold. Some of my profits i have put into TMC which i believe has
hugh upside, possibly a muliple of at least 5?
