THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

So mayhem in Parliament the EU licking their lips and sniggering .

Fred1new - 31 May 2017 08:46 - 77151 of 81564

Perhaps the public are not as daft as some think!

Would they be the ones who voted for Brexit then or don't you remember .

ExecLine - 31 May 2017 09:26 - 77154 of 81564

Here's a cartoon Fred probably would NOT have put up on here:

Dil - 31 May 2017 09:42 - 77155 of 81564

Lol Exec , that sums up Corbyn's funding plans nicely.

cynic - 31 May 2017 09:43 - 77156 of 81564

IG GE PREDICTOR
now suggests a tory majority of just 35
all a bit hairy scary

goes to show what an appalling blunder was made in the tory manifesto

anyone proposing to the royal shakespeare company that GO should have a lead role in julius caesar?

VICTIM - 31 May 2017 10:05 - 77157 of 81564

If it doesn't go well for the Cons , will they ditch Treesa for some one else .Even if they win .

cynic - 31 May 2017 10:18 - 77158 of 81564

getting a bit ahead of yourself aren't you?

it happens that i don't agree though she really should have picked up on that dementia tax clause, even if it was slipped in (apparently) rather surreptitiously and at the last minute

Fred1new - 31 May 2017 10:21 - 77159 of 81564

The torrids have been appalling for last 8years and are responsible for the mess the UK is in.

-=-=--

Vicky Darling,

Even the mistaken can change their opinions.

VICTIM - 31 May 2017 10:29 - 77160 of 81564

I did say" if " cynic . Freda , mistaken a good word for you . Darling .

2517GEORGE - 31 May 2017 11:00 - 77161 of 81564

Au contraire the Tories have spent the last 8 years trying to put the country back on it's feet after the borrowing and spending splurge by one of the most disasterous periods of Labour government, and for 5 of those 8 years were shackled by the lovey Lib Dems.

Fred1new - 31 May 2017 11:24 - 77162 of 81564

George.

What were the responsibilities of the banks and city in the events leading to the crash in 2008?

Which party wanted further deregulation the city and "big" business?

Who were the lenders leading up to the crash and why were their lenders?

Who was over borrowing and what were they hoping for.

And whose benefit was the crass lending and borrowing intended?

-=-=-=-=

Also, compare the state of the infrastructure of the country in 2007 with the dilapidated state of now.

Also, look at the state of moral in public services and compare.

-=-=-=-=-=-

I suppose you can scapegoat the Lib/Dems or the green party for tory incompetence.

2517GEORGE - 31 May 2017 11:41 - 77163 of 81564

Well if you don't know the answers to those questions I suggest you do some homework.

cynic - 31 May 2017 12:57 - 77164 of 81564

interesting ......
Corbyn confirms he will take part in the GE debate tonight

Amber Rudd will represent the tories
from what i have heard - have not seen - she has come across very well indeed and with considerable substance and backbone in recent interviews

MaxK - 31 May 2017 13:05 - 77165 of 81564

She's a nasty piece of work.

Liable to throttle Corby if he aint careful.

Dil - 31 May 2017 13:09 - 77166 of 81564

The biggest deregluation of the banks was overseen by Labour Fred.

As was immigration which was actively encouraged by Labour.
