THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Nigel Farage, the man who tells it like it is, says he is losing faith in 'weathercock' Theresa May delivering over Brexit.

He says she 'changes her mind' and 'blows around like the wind'.

He says. "I have no idea what she believes in and Brexit being the best example.

He said Mrs May "U-turns on everything", adding: "I have very little confidence in her, her record of delivery as the longest serving Home Secretary since the nineteenth century was abysmal.

"She clearly can't stick to a course because she does just get blown off course.

"I think she may well have been the Tories' big asset on April 18, but she is now their biggest liability."

Oh Deary Me!

Answer

They are all involved in an extremely controversial Tax Relief Scheme. HMRC is having none of it and has told them it was 'NOT an investment into making films' but was actually a Tax Avoidance Scheme.

They all poured cash into Ingenious “partnerships” which helped produce movies, including Avatar, and qualified for tax breaks designed to support the UK film industry.

But HMRC said Ingenious claimed relief on artificial losses from its films.

That meant the schemes were not legitimate investment opportunities but a means of avoiding tax.

There are apparently about 1,400 investors who poured cash into the controversial film plans which offered tax breaks.

What 'a Bummer' for them, eh?

An appeal is yet to be heard. Hopefully, they might not get the very worst kind of treatment from HMRC. It is generally understood, that getting on for £700m in tax is involved.

Yet again terrible news from from London Bridge and Borough Market. They should send Corbyn in to talk to them.

Dil - 04 Jun 2017 01:09 - 77291 of 81564

Just tweeted Corbyn M but his account seems to be playing up ... suggested he have a word with ISIS in the morning and that should sort it.

Bunch of scum bag cowards , total losers and no life arsehole's.

Always defenseless innocents , i can honestly say that if these people tried to eliminate Tony Blair i wouldn't give a hoot but no , just defenseless innocents .

VICTIM - 04 Jun 2017 07:38 - 77293 of 81564

Some seem to want to delay the election but that's madness it must go ahead , if you set a date in the future and there's another attack before it what do you do , a never ending problem and stupid .

Laurenrose. I have removed some of your posts, just very poor taste. This is public forum and extreme views are not tolerated. We will ban you if you persist

Cressida Dick in a statement she made earlier stated that she "don't think
there are any outstanding attackers"

Obviously it slipped her mind the estimated 23,000 islamist roaming the streets
of the UK..

She also asked "what could be behind it"....I'll give her a clue...The Koran!!!

VICTIM - 04 Jun 2017 10:58 - 77296 of 81564

Well thank heavens for that , i thought we'd get the usual PM statement , but she say's , " enough is enough " too much tolerance of extremism in UK , and difficult and embarrassing conversations were needed about dealing with the spread of terrorism here , BBC.

77295 - the true koran is most definitely not behind any terrorist attacks any more than the OT is behind israel being promised by God to the jews .... both are just distortions to suit a perverted cause

You might be interested to read a transcript of George Soros' keynote speech to the Brussels Economic Forum, the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission:

https://www.georgesoros.com/essays/remarks-delivered-at-the-brussels-economic-forum/

In case you don't know it, George Soros is known as "The Man Who Broke the Bank of England" because of his short sale of US$10 billion worth of Pound sterling, making him a profit of $1 billion during the 1992 Black Wednesday UK currency crisis.

His net worth is currently estimated at around $25 billion. We can safely guess he knows a fair bit about what he cares to talk about.....and particularly the matter of Brexit and the EU's negotiative position.

grannyboy - 04 Jun 2017 14:57 - 77300 of 81564

You are wrong once again cynic...Everything these islamist do or say or
their beliefs emanate from the koran, now they might take it to the extreme
but it is there in the koran..

Now stop being like our leaders in denying the obvious, and what is written in
the koran...

As to the Old Testament...It tells you in the new title...New Testament,
that the christians brought their religious book up to date..The koran has
never been up dated since it was written in the 7th century..

grannyboy - 04 Jun 2017 15:17 - 77301 of 81564

George soros dosn't care who he tramples on, and there are many who say
he was a nazi collaborator..He also sponsors all those anti Trump protestors,
and helped finance H.Clinton..Its also believed he funds those immigrants
making their way into western europe..

cynic - 04 Jun 2017 15:28 - 77302 of 81564

the jews have no interest in the NT as you would have noticed had you ever looked even cursorily

the views of islamic terrorists emanate from a DISTORTED view of the koran, cherry picking little bits and pieces as suits their aims
you do similarly in an attempt to blacken all muslims

grannyboy - 04 Jun 2017 15:46 - 77303 of 81564

Verse 9:69 (Tabara) "Killing Unbelievers is a small matter to us."

The words of Muhammed prophet of islam....

There is more..Well over 100 verses that call for the death, stoning, etc
of non-believers..

Its not hard to cherry pick..Its all there...Even the word islam means surrender.

cynic - 04 Jun 2017 16:32 - 77304 of 81564

i'ld guess "surrender to the will of God" but in any case, i would question your interpretation of the meaning of the word "islam" for it is actually derived from the word meaning “peace” in Arabic

the following will suffice as an example and counter to the hatred and intolerance you would promote from your corner ..... there are plenty of others

“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)

and again ...

“There is no compulsion where the religion is concerned.” (Holy Quran: 2/ 256)
