Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

the jews have no interest in the NT as you would have noticed had you ever looked even cursorily
the views of islamic terrorists emanate from a DISTORTED view of the koran, cherry picking little bits and pieces as suits their aims
you do similarly in an attempt to blacken all muslims

Verse 9:69 (Tabara) "Killing Unbelievers is a small matter to us."
The words of Muhammed prophet of islam....
There is more..Well over 100 verses that call for the death, stoning, etc
of non-believers..
Its not hard to cherry pick..Its all there...Even the word islam means surrender.

i'ld guess "surrender to the will of God" but in any case, i would question your interpretation of the meaning of the word "islam" for it is actually derived from the word meaning “peace” in Arabic
the following will suffice as an example and counter to the hatred and intolerance you would promote from your corner ..... there are plenty of others
“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)
and again ...
“There is no compulsion where the religion is concerned.” (Holy Quran: 2/ 256)

Labour voters will now be thinking , what IF Corbyn was in charge of protecting this country., he said he would keep Trident costing billions, but he wouldn't allow them to use their missiles. even so you wouldn't tell the World that you wouldn't on a TV panel show.

i don't think i have ever known an election where the polls differ so greatly
while they all concur that the tories lead is now well reduced from the initial (and preposterous" 20%, they currently vary between and oddball 1% and something more common of 6-12%
i also note that ladbrokes still reckon a tory majority at 2/9 and, if i have read this correctly, a majority of 70 (ie 360 of 650 seats)
personally, i'ld be surprised if the majority was any more than about 40, and even that may prove to be wishful thinking

Explanations:
There is only one Caliphate and that is the ISIS Caliphate.
Anyone not in the ISIS Caliphate is an apostate.
Apostates are enemies of the Caliphate, by definition of the fact, that ISIS is the one and only true caliphate.
The punishment for being an apostate is death.
The reward for fighting in a holy war (for the Caliphate) is a definite guaranteed place in paradise.
It seemed like a bunch of fanatical jihadis got together and took swathes of territory from an army the U.S. had spent $25 billion training and equipping. It only took about one year to clarify the roots of the military prowess of ISIS — Saddam Hussein’s ex-officers form the core of the organisation; as many as 25 of the ISIS leadership previously took orders from the late Iraqi leader.
(So I suppose, we must thank Tony Blair and George Bush for knocking out Sadaam Hussein. Yeah!)
On June 29, 2014, the apparent leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, declared that he stood at the head of a Caliphate, a Muslim state that spanned Syria and Iraq. He was speaking in the city of Mosul which ISIS forces had taken from the Iraqi army a few weeks earlier.
A caliphate is an Islamic state. It's led by a caliph, who is a political and religious leader who is a successor (caliph) to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. His power and authority is absolute.
All very inspirational, eh?
To your average atheist like me, it's a right load of ball hocks.

would that it was all that simple
saudi and the west's relationship with it and the whole saudi political, social and religious quagmire is an excellent example of what a duplicitous mess the whole area is

Bunch of scum bag cowards, total losers and no life arsehole's".
I suggest we send you and Martini and a few nuke hand grenades to sort the problem out.
But for "our" or "their" god's sake don't talk to the "enemies" as some of them might turn out to be friends.1
Should be fun dancing around the fires in ruins!

As usual you leap to conclusions with no facts to back it up.
I actually agree with Corbyn that we should ditch Nuclear weapons. Not because they are inherently bad but but because I can not see when, we as a country, will ever use them on our own. I would rather spend the Billions on conventional forces which would be more useful in defending this country from the threats we are facing.
What I find unacceptable from Corbyn is his belief that all things can be sorted out by talking. Sometimes brute force needs to be challenged by brute force and his weasel wording around what he really believes on Trident.
I also question if he has the intellect or courage to take the hard decisions that come with being PM.
Thank God our police did what was necessary in London and saved many more lives by taking those 3 out straight away. With Corbyn in charge he would have wanted to send negotiators in for a chat before giving the Police the power to do what was needed.
O and putting your post in Bold font does not make it any more right.

Martini,
I made a mistake with highlighting.
Didn't check and have addressed the matter.
A bit tired after returning from London where I was talking with somebody working in the home office about the "terrorist" threat and associated problems.

Personally, I thought previous remarks by you and Dil were sneering and misrepresentative of Corbyn's position and policies.
To me, Corbyn appears to be advocating attempting the increase of UN powers and having greater involvement of it when trying to resolve political and military problems.
He does not reject the use of force in some circumstances but would prefer a negotiate solution if possible.
As would anybody with any sense and consideration for fellow humanity.
That involves negotiation not just a rush to brute force with the belief that one's own
present or previously held opinions about those who oppose you to be valueless and irrational.
I am not sure of Corbyn's abilities but he does seem to believe in a collegiate type of government and rather than being self-opinionated, arrogant and elite about his own qualification and he does take in into consideration other peoples' rights and opinions.
-=-==--=
For various reasons I am against judicial death penalties, but not against the actions of police or armed forces in situations which have just occurred. (From facts stated.)
But it may have been more useful to have captured and interrogated the "terrorists" and perhaps gained useful information.
I have no sympathy for the acts the terrorists carried out, but would have been interested in knowing their "reasoning" for their actions, in order to build an approached to the problems of "terrorism" rather than see their deaths turn them into martyrs and increase the rationale for their "cause".

this is interesting .... from today's FT ....
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the UAE sever ties with Qatar
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have cut ties with Qatar, accusing the Gulf state of undermining the security of its neighbours and financing terrorism.
Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry tweeted that in an effort to protect “national security from threats of terrorism and extremism, Saudi Arabia has decided to sever diplomatic and consular relations with the State of Qatar”.
In a series of follow-up tweets, Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry said it had decided to close land, sea and air links with Qatar.

a typical simplistic answer ..... did such action work in northern ireland? ..... do you suggest we should have our own "guantanamo bay"?
if there was an easy answer, then i'm sure it would or even would have been actioned
however, i very much hope that we'll see the "removal" in way or another of imams who preach extremism and the closure of their mosques
There is certainly talk of (instant) deportation of non-british born extremists - sorry fred, but ECHR and similar bodies should be told to keep their noses out, and in no uncertain terms - but that of course does not resolve what to do with those who are of british birth
