imo, probably as while she may be "mortally wounded" as some papers have it, there is no one who comes immediately to mind to take her place ...... i agree JR-M is a great guy, but he really is not the one to lead the country any more than is BJ
furthermore, leadership contests will distract everyone and make brexit discussions to that point of questionable value

Well I can't see how May can continue and the best time for a new leader to be elected would be during the summer recess imo.
