How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Cloudbase

could have bought total 6s in the game at 9, i think the aussies got that many - would have been a nice free bet going into the second half :-)

Fundamentalist - 09 Jan 2006 10:20 - 7776 of 10502

small lay of the aussies at 1.05 - not expecting anything but you never know

Cloudbase - 09 Jan 2006 10:24 - 7777 of 10502

Was thinking along those lines order in at 1.03 only small

Cloudbase - 09 Jan 2006 10:28 - 7778 of 10502

Looks like 100 will be too much for SA

Cloudbase - 09 Jan 2006 11:01 - 7779 of 10502

You got to laugh, SA increased their score 25% in that over.

Scripophilist - 09 Jan 2006 22:31 - 7791 of 10502

Looks like the darts is bent guys. Everybody on the planet new the score of Robson v Anderson well before the match started, 3-1 to Anderson. The match was funny as well very badly played out.

Surely going to be a big fuss over this!

Harlosh - 09 Jan 2006 22:52 - 7792 of 10502

Must say I used to be convinced the snooker was decided by the toss of a coin in the dressing room and the match played to squeeze out maximum excitement for an unsuspecting audience, particularly when most of the top players were in the same stable.

I'm sure you know who I mean.

Fundamentalist - 09 Jan 2006 23:22 - 7793 of 10502
