Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 15:49 - 7792 of 12628

Informed referendum , we had the government with all their sudden friends , " Blair " a load of luvvies endless TV progs totally biased for remain , pamphlets that cost us as taxpayers , and you talk of an informed referendum , the next vote is to agree to the terms worked out between the two sides , whether that goes to the country i don't know , but if you think we will revisit an In or Out vote i think you are wrong . Triggering article 50 surely was the we are out bit , this stuff now decides the terms . Do you know these " milions " then stan .

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 15:51 - 7793 of 12628

Of course there was the rest of the World as well , headed by Obahhha Ma . and you say we weren't informed .

Fred1new - 06 Oct 2017 16:16 - 7794 of 12628

Dil,

The "remainers" did get it.

They asked the question get exactly "WHAT" and saw that they were being both lied to and by not being presented with any plan for the aftermath of the referendum.
That is they were conned by glibness of the Farages and johnsons.

They also saw it was an attempt by Cameron, who couldn't imagine loosing, to hold his bunch of tory elitist crooks together. (I.e those who know they know what is best for "everybody", which often means themselves.)

He was too conceited to realise that he may lose the referendum and couldn'T face up to the mess he had made.

Arranging terms of the separation seems like a prisoner negotiating with a hangman where to put the noose.

Stan - 06 Oct 2017 16:20 - 7795 of 12628

After those two posts V I must assume that you are also suffering from senility and or dementia.

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 16:21 - 7796 of 12628

For conning see Labour leader Corblimey , how many millions were conned into voting for him .

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 16:23 - 7797 of 12628

Well i think i'm a bit nearer than you stan . ROFL .

Stan - 06 Oct 2017 16:24 - 7798 of 12628

Typical right wing oink... loose the discussion than change the subject by attacking some other person.

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 16:27 - 7799 of 12628

VICTIM - 06 Oct 2017 16:59 - 7807 of 12628

It's a dirty job Chris , but someone has to do it .

Claret Dragon - 06 Oct 2017 21:12 - 7808 of 12628

An Informed referendum.

Clegg et al going on about the virtues of a Utopian vision,or Brimstone and fire if we dont agree.

Farage et al going on about freedom and a brighter future.

Same as the first referendum only next time the rhetoric will go up to The Spinal Tap dial of eleven.

You take your choices. :)

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 23:25 - 7809 of 12628

How the hell were the remoaners conned Fred ?

They voted remain and lost and haven't shut up since. Who were they conned by , the remain camp ?

Funny how it's only the remoaners who didn't understand what they were voting for. Leavers seem happy so why do we need another referendum ?

Roll on 29/3/18

Fred1new - 07 Oct 2017 08:35 - 7810 of 12628

Dil.

The Brexiters with Cash and cronies were moaning away since they were in nappies and said they had had their balls taken away.

The result of trying to exiting or breaking up the EU was not on the referendum slip or explained.

The "exiters" didn't know and still don't know.

Is 29/3/18 the suicide day?

if Catalonia secedes from Spain, what would be the effect on the EU structure?

Cyners,

I can't see that anything would change as far as the EU are concerned. The problems would rest entirely on Catalonia's own shoulders.

For instance, they'd stop getting subsidies from Spain, they wouldn't have a central bank acting as lender of last resort, they wouldn't have a currency of their own and would need consent from the EU to use the euro in the same way as Monaco and a few others do, and they'd have to join the queue if they wanted to obtain EU membership which would require the consent of the other 27/28 members.

It's a similar scenario to that of Scotland and the UK, and the EU didn't interfere there.
