IC article today about 10 companies with the potential to turn their penny share prices into pounds.....MXC is one of them....read a few of the past RNS's.....contracts with Vodafone, expected to win a global Vodafone contract....they have the ex.chairman of Cisco Systems UK at the helm etc...
Potential is vast but un-recognized.....

Dont stress guys.....this has gone from under 1p to 5p in a short time, there are bound to be profit takers and panickers....such is the natural way a market works. Its to be expected and will not cause a problem. This will rise again in the future and will provide good returns for those who stay in for the medium to long term

syd443s, I think the MM,s are short of shares and initially, they are trying to panic PI,s into selling! IMO of course. Rgds. base97

id agree with jnknill.....with no news at the moment, we have hit a bit of a lull and have seen a retracement from 5p seen earlier. I think the mms are using this period of no immediate news and no massive buying momentum to walk the price down, to free up some shares and panic weaker holders into selling up.
In my opinion, nothing to be worried about here. Standard market maker tactics and my personal strategy is to sit and wait.....more news is due soon:
1) News of storage acquisition awaited
2) News of Vodafone global contracts won (if any)
3) Interims I beleive early June (June 5th anyone?)
4) News of appointment of new Finance Director....

Guys, why would the mm's want to free up shares??? whats the reason to do that???
Its terrible though to see your profits dropping away, bit here, bit there, and before you know it half of you profit has sunk, O well, I aways thought this was long term, but you soon get used to the big % days.
Simon.

its called making money, they control the price and fill orders for customers in the process, I know a pain but the way of the world. The price will go up again and we have to take the ups and downs, mind you I am with Simon on his point aboout watching the price drop, while I am in for the long term it is a little annoying when you see over 20k go missing after such a good rise. Still the lng term is what we are after. Good luck to all and keep faith.

simon paynton....in answer to your question regarding freeing up shares.
Occasionally mm's get hit with a massive buying demand and I have read that in order to meet that demand they can go short....ie. sell shares they dont own to provide the shares for the public buy. They obviously have to balance their books at some point, so they then rapidly reduce the price to panic shares out of wavering sellers....hence the rapid fluctuations you see in more volatile stocks.
If i remember rightly there was an issue some time ago with Room Service, where the mms allegedly concocted a massive short with more shares than were in issue i seem to remember....obviously creating a big problem!

Depends on how long you are looking at. The first thing required is the momentum to build up and the 5p level to be broken. To do this the next interim will have to show good financials or the much talked about vodaphone deal to become a signed and done deal. IMO there is still more required to complete the company offering, they need a storage capability. The current news is good and the new additions are performing well, these are covered in previos posts, and the company is in profit. As for the price I have heard people talk about the 1 mark, I wish, as a starting point I would see 8-10p as a good result for the year, this is only my opinion and could change after the interims ( that should get some comments )which is still a good rise if you consider started at 1p...ish. Sorry not being more bullish but I like to air on the safe side.
