NORTH WEST 'TRADERS DAY' - 1st October 2004 - Clitheroe (DAY)

After the great time we had last year in Clitheroe kindly arranged by Lancslad, he has very kindly organised, together with Ruth, another North West Traders meeting at a new venue, the Swan and Royal Hotel,(Directly opposite last years venue of the Conservative Club) Castle Street, Clitheroe, Lancs, BB7 2BX,

This will be held on Friday 1st October 2004, starting at 10am(end 5pm). Cost for the day will be 10 (payable in cash on the door) which will cover the cost of a light lunch and refreshments. If you would like to stay at the Swan and Royal please quote 'Northwest Traders' when you call as lancslad has kindly reserved some rooms there.

Directions from M6 junction 31

Take M6 to junction 31. Exit here and join A677 ( A59) towards Blackburn and Clitheroe. After 2 miles bear left at traffic lights, join A59 to Clitheroe. Proceed along A59, and proceed approximately 12 miles. Exit the A59 at the first Clitheroe sign. Follow the road into Clitheroe.

Directions from Manchester and M62 & M60

Leave M62/ M60 at M66 (J18) follow signs towards Bury. Proceed past Bury to end of M66 and then follow A56 signposted Accrington - Clitheroe. Keep on the A56 until you reach its junction with the M65 motorway (Junction 8). Go straight across this roundabout under the motorway and then follow signs for Clitheroe until you join the A59. Exit the A59 at the first Clitheroe sign. Follow the road into Clitheroe.

Directions from Skipton (A59) and West Yorkshire

Join A59 at Skipton and proceed south, eventually travelling through Gisburn. After approximately 2 miles, you will travel down a long steep hill passing turning to Sawley on the right and also passing turning on the right marked Chatburn. The road travels through a gorge with a bridge over the top. Follow the A59 and take the second turning into Clitheroe.

For those wishing to stay over on the Thursday or Friday night, Lancslad has recommended the Station Hotel in Clitheroe - telephone: 01200 443205 (please quote 'Northwest Traders' as Lancslad has reserved some rooms)

Just arrived home, head still spinning a bit trying to remember all of the "heads up" ideas that presented themselves at the meeting.

It was a great day. Thanks to all of you who made it so.

Thanks to all who organised Clitheroe Traders Day, enjoyed all the speakers' presentations and came away with many ideas again! Looking forward to next event and talking to old and new friends met on the day.

Brilliant day and thanks to all speakers, organisers, etc. at Clitheroe. Good to be able to put faces to names and thanks to the "locals" for their hospitality - great crowd! Would post more but off to put on those stop losses!!!
