"Avago, an award-winning and industry-leading gaming channel, which broadcasts in the UK on the Sky Digital satellite platform owned by BSkyB will launch Zone4Play's multi-player Texas Hold'em Poker game as part of its play-for-fun package. Zone4Play expects that its play-for-fun Multi-Player Texas Hold'em will be the first interactive poker game available on iTV in the UK to allow for simultaneous betting by thousands of players. Like its Internet counterparts, this exciting game brings all the thrill of a real card hall to iTV subscribers - super-fast pace, inter-player competition and camaraderie."
Poker is the magic word this year, the market will pick up on developments very soon. Good to see Yoomedia ahead of the curve.
The merger with DITG & TGG was a touch of genius. Great to see the directors on the ball and with the directors owning 28%+ of Yoomedia, they have all the incentive needed, to deliver and execute.
All this good news and the gaming division is only one part of Yoomedia.

Ofcom has announced its plans to switch off analogue TV signals as early as 2008. In response, Comet launches a long-term initiative to give you responsible advice about the digital switchover and the changes it brings - from what you can watch, to what you'll need to watch it on and everything in between.
To kick-start this initiative, Comet is giving a free set top box worth at least 44.99 to every customer buying an analogue TV package* at any one of its stores, Comet Direct (08705 425 425) or online at www.comet.co.uk .
In addition to this offer, Comet has committed to a number of other activities designed to make digital switchover simple, including
Producing a leaflet, entitled 'Comet's Guide to Digital Switchover' which will be available from 11 February in all Comet stores, giving an overview of the changes in simple, easy to understand language
Adopting the digital television group tick logo so you can easily identify 'digital friendly' products in store and online
Posting online information at www.comet.co.uk (the UK's most visited electrical website) including an explanation of digital switchover and the options available to you
Setting up a digital postcode check and aerial advice line, 08701 504 588 which can advise people on whether the digital signal is currently available in their area and advise on whether they are likely to need to upgrade their existing aerial (calls charged at National rate)
Comet store staff on hand to help you make educated choices about the televisions you buy today, for tomorrow
Liz Rhodes, Marketing Manager (Home Entertainment) at Comet says 'The digital switchover is a time of opportunity for both viewers and broadcasters and the breadth of digital channels that are available is truly amazing - there is a huge choice of programming in addition to the normal terrestrial channels such as BBC3, ITV2, BBC News 24 and CBBC plus a host of Pay TV options. Viewers can also interact with their television to access additional services at the touch of a button, for example, you can choose the game you want to watch at Wimbledon'.
Liz adds 'We at Comet see ourselves in a unique position to help educate consumers on all the fantastic benefits of digital television as well as the practicalities of what they need to do to continue to enjoy their favourite programmes after switchover is completed. Today's announcements are just the beginning of what is a dedicated, long-term campaign'.
Digital television is fast becoming a reality, as with colour sets, one day we won't be able to believe we survived without it. Until then we all need help to embrace the new technology and Comet is leading the way in digital switchover education - let the revolution begin!
*Offer begins Friday 11 February

There is going to be so much positive coming out with the results, bearing in mind what we already know on this BB, due to lack of RNS newsflow, the general investing public are going to be hearing a lot of this for the first time when the official RNS comes out in March.
Also, just think how much we probably do not know yet, I am sure they are keeping a few surprises back.
Good to see the SP rising today, certainly do not feel it will hang around sub 30p after the results, based on the information that is out in the open, backed by an amazing growth spurt in the last 12 months.
You would not even think we are looking at the same company, that we put our faith in under two years ago, a credit to the forward thinking management.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? WALKAWAY GAME REACHES LANDMARK MILLION
On 17th January 2005, WALKAWAY, the simultaneous SMS game which accompanies the latest series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? on ITV1, received its millionth text message.
The play-along game, developed by Celador International in partnership with YooMedia Mobile, launched in the UK in October 2004 enabling viewers at home to answer the question that the contestant in the Hotseat rejects. As soon as the contestant makes a final decision to quit and walk away with their winnings, Chris Tarrant invites the viewing audience to text in the answer. The viewer who gets the answer right in the fastest time wins a 1,000 cash prize.
WALKAWAY has launched in France, Germany and Slovenia where it has also received strong response rates and plans for further international roll-out are already in place.
Simon Gunning, head of interactive media at Celador International comments, WALKAWAY has been a fantastic success for Who Wants to Be A Millionaire? both as a revenue generating mechanism and a means of extending this well-loved brand to engage with viewers in new ways. Hitting the million mark is an important achievement which demonstrates Millionaires continuing popularity
Jane Marshall, ITV Interactive Controller , said: The success of WALKAWAY with the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? audience demonstrates the need to keep interactive propositions fresh. We are delighted that it has been so successful.
David Bainbridge, managing director of YooMedia Mobile, said: The runaway success of WALKAWAY demonstrates the power of using SMS messaging interactively with successful quiz shows. And as weve shown its a format thats eminently exportable because it allows viewers to participate rather than just passively view.

Fantastic news, the game has already launched in France, Germany and Slovenia and will eventuallly be rolled out in over 100 countries, generating additional revenues NOW. The reality of this news, is not yet in the minds of the wider investment community,, but as PSmith says, it certainly will be when the next trading update arrives.

"Celador said it was planning to roll out the show across many of its international markets that supported Yoo Mobile's time-stamping technology."
So in 12 months, Yoomedia's technology will be employed on WWTBAM in up to 100 countries. What do you think the reaction of other media executives in these distant lands will be, when they see our patented, time stamping, mobile technology, working on a competitors channel, program??? I trust, I don't need to spell it out?

Frontier Silicon raises $28m for mobile DTV
Frontier Silicon, the company whose technology is behind the boom in digital radio, is planning to repeat its success by moving into mobile digital television after the Watford-based group raised $28m from existing and new investors.
It has already developed a new family of silicon chips that make it possible to receive and record television programmes on mobile phones, electronic organisers and iPods.
New investors in Frontier Silicon are ACT Venture Capital and Quilvest. They join existing investors Apax, Alta Berkeley and BlueRun Ventures (formerly known as Nokia Venture Partners).
Frontier Silicon claims to own 70% of the digital radio receiver chip market.
Chief executive Anthony Sethill said: "This latest investment allows us to aggressively target and drive market share in the emerging mobile digital television market.
"Our launch this month of a mobile digital television chip set has been well received by key mobile handset manufacturers. We will continue to focus on technologies targeted at the digital radio and television markets, both for the home and mobile broadcast sectors.
Sethill added: "The convergence of mobile communications and broadcasting is happening now, and I believe the addition of low power TV tuners to mobile handsets will enable the next killer application for mobile phones, opening up significant new revenue opportunities for content providers and network operators.
"Frontier Silicon's objective is to be one of the key chip suppliers to this new market sector."

from WMH results today....not bad!!
Interactive
Strong underlying growth in poker, the online casino, and arcade products helped
counteract the impact of adverse sporting results and the division finished the
year with gross win of #106.1m, up 25%, and profit of #51.7m, up 39%.
2004 also saw the launch of our own TV station on Sky Channel 425. This was a
deliberately low cost, low risk entry strategy into interactive digital
television. The platform has made an encouraging start and we will be expanding
our coverage of live sporting events, as well as introducing coverage of live
poker tournaments, to attract more viewers and use the medium to promote the
brand and other growth areas for the Group.
Towards the end of the year, we also introduced a new range of java based casino
and slot products suitable for GPRS and 3G generation mobiles to complement our
already successful WAP sportsbook and arcade offering.
The launch of these two initiatives in addition to our already successful
internet sites provides UK domiciled customers with unrivalled access to our
business and the brand with a distribution ubiquity few competitors can match.
We ended the year with 292,000 active Interactive customers (2003: 247,000).

"Harding is to focus on building Hill's European poker operations with the imminent launch of a major online tournament promoted by the company's channel on Sky."
Pleasing to see Yoomedia Solutions, working with William Hill, a FTSE 100 company, to deliver major sporting and gambling events on Channel 425, the joint venture between Yoomedia and Willaim Hill.
Please note the credibilty and industry awareness, this will create for Yoomedia Solutions, going forward. How long before other betting chains, such as Ladbrokes, Corals and many others, decide they also require a presence on digital television? How long before Yoomobile's patented, time stamping technology, is implemented into the broadcast stream, of every channel Yoomedia Solutions operate? How long before our mobile technology, is delivered within the progamming content of Talksport Television, now owned by Willaim Hill and broadcasting on Channel 425?

Isn't it fantastic, knowing what we know on this board.
A lot of the great news over the last month, has been out there, and between everyone on the board, we have found some great articles on the growth spurt that Yoomedia would appear to be on.
Don't forget, the majority of the investing public do not read these boards, and with lack of any official news due to the close period, apart from what would appear to be two institutional sales which by stock market ruling had to be disclosed regardless of a close period - hence the reason the SP has stayed fairly flat.
Imagine yourself to be one of the 99% of people that have probably even never heard of the company Yoomedia, have probably not even realised they have used one of their many services over the past year, and then this happens:-
Yoomedia - 2004 Year end results and trading statement:-
Financial highlights:-
Full year turnover - 2004 60,000,000 million ( inc aquisitions ) - against 2003 - 740,000 ( no that is not a typing error )
Current Trading Highlights:-
NHS three year contract awarded 15,000,000
Celador - Ongoing Yoomobile contract, interactive SMS programming, now rolling out across Europe, with the world to Follow
Nesle - Awarded high profile national Mobile advertising contract - potential 80,000,000 users
Sucessfully running three of the most sucessful gaming and gambling channels on on Sky Active portal,
Formed partnership with FTSE 100 company William Hill - to run all of its iTV gaming and gambling product via channel 425 on Sky Active.
Interactive programme content providers to BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and UKTV
Only company to have presence on all four UK Digital platforms, with subscriber base growing on a weekly basis.
Future trading prospects:-
Successful integration of all aquisitions, company at the time of reporting now in a cash poitive state, with forecast profits this year in the region of 5 million
DTV and iTV services continue to grow on a worldwide basis, the USA currently has 40 million digital TV subscribers, UK to have 100% coverage by 2012.
Yoomedia took part in a sucessful mock bid as part of a consortium to run the new PSB channel, with a 300 million per annum budget.
Makes good reading dosen't it - we know most of that, 99% of the population do not - I don't think that will be the case after the annoucement, do you ???
I am sure there is going to be a lot more information that not even we know about yet, the excitement is building.

These two posts are from another board and are not mine.
First one as follows.
GMC Have announced a new placing today of 70.5 million shares to raise money for new acquasitions and mobile gaming and are talking to people about this move you don't think Yoo might be one of those being approched about the mobile gaming .( the mobile stamping bit I mean.) seems to me this is right up there street.
Second one as follows.
Hang on in there. Heard a snippet on the grapevine that will surprise the market. I know this sounds like a ramp but I can't help that and please nobody buy on the content of this post. I heard it today, can't say anymore.
