THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Similar remarks by Blair, Max. They just don't get it. They think it is all about immigration from the EU. Particularly ironic given that Blair and Brown were all for open borders. Bit late now to have a change of mind.
XL you can cherry pick your reviews as you like. Your choice. I have just looked at the reviews on good books and of 775 reviews, 90% liked. 3% gave 1 star. On Amazon, more than 70% gave it 4 or 5 stars.
There are actually a number of books by him, but no matter. Closed minds can't be convinced and I can't be bothered one way or the other. As I wrote, take it or leave it. But if you leave it, you could be destined for an eternity of hell swapping barbs with Fred and Stan. If that won't change your ways, nothing will.

Last night of the Prom's., and the loony remainders trying to hi jack it.

Following 2016's referendum, anti-Brexit campaigners have distributed EU flags to the audience as they arrive.
A spokesman for EU Flags Proms Team told The Telegraph: "During the Age of Enlightenment, Mozart, Handel and Bach all lived and worked for part of their lives in London.
"Presumably under the Brexit dark ages, they would not be welcome."

I don't know much about classical music but I've seen Kathryn Jenkins a few times at the Millenium Stadium singing the national anthem.

Is Pavarotti the guy in the Go-compare adverts ?

aldwickkk - 10 Sep 2017 10:40 - 79019 of 81564

No , that's Pavarnotti

I came across this series.

I found it fascinating.

Only problem the first episode is going to be removed from the BBC I-Pad to-morrow.

The above episode with episode 5 may indicate reasons for Xenophobia and religious intolerance as shown on this thread.

Another way of processing thoughts.

Bargain, apart from Jose Carreras who shouts and has a terrible wobble in his voice.

Hays

Was that one of the Wobbles from Wimbledon ?

The above episode with episode 5 may indicate reasons for as shown on this thread.
Says Fred, the communist party supporter that is Xenophobic and having religious intolerance.

5,000 folks marched through London yesterday to demand that we stay in the EU. The speakers included some poor incoherent dishevelled Irish chap who I thought was a Big Issue seller invited onto the platform as part of a drive for diversity but turned out to be Bob Geldof. Though the folks, most of whom seemed to be notably physically unattractive and/ or significantly overweight showing, once again, that politics really is show business for ugly people came up with all sort reasons for protesting its clear that all wanted stay in the EU.And that is how they felt before the nation vote the other way year. These remoaners just cannot accept democracy.

Are we running too fast or is religion staying behind

Some say : religion is a mental illness
The Rowe's say : A boy wearing skirt is sick

Boy removed from school in transgender rights row

The parents of a six-year-old boy have removed him from his primary school in a row over whether another pupil should be recognised as transgender.
Nigel and Sally Rowe said their son became confused as to why the child dressed as both a boy and a girl.

The Diocese of Portsmouth, which runs the Church of England school on the Isle of Wight, said it was required to "respect diversity of all kinds".
The couple believe the school should have consulted all parents........

The Rowes say the suggestion that gender is fluid conflicts with their Christian beliefs as a family and they are seeking a legal challenge against the school's actions............

Apparently, the 6yr old little 'transgender' boy was dressed as a boy one day and a girl the next.

Perhaps the 'transgender kid' doesn't actually have a problem? The problem could lie with his parents?

My wife was godmother to a friend's little boy, who at aged 4-6, just loved to dress up as a little girl and dance around. The clothes belonged to his elder sister and he had just raided her drawers for stuff to wear.

Nobody made anything of it much and we all just smiled and watched him 'fantasy playing and using his imagination' and just let the little chap 'get on with it' dancing about the living room and kitchen.

Guess what?

Yes. He grew out of it. It was all just 'an imaginitive phase' in his highly imaginative development. Everyone involved, felt his imaginative powers needed to be encouraged and not stifled.

However, quite sensibly his mum and dad didn't conclude 'he must be transgender'. Importantly, neither did they send him to school in girl's clothes one day and boy's clothes the next.

The kid in the news has quite hysterical parents if you ask me! Or is it just the kid's mother? My £5 says it might well be.

If anyone is going to be a bit mixed up it's the kid who is doing the dressing up. not the classmates watching him, IMHO.

Ah well. Anyway.....

"Lights Out!"

"Next!"

Just wait till little Abdul turns up at the local madrassa telling them he is transgender.

A cybersecurity scientist has issued a bizarre warning that sex robots could one day rise up and kill their owners if hackers can get inside their heads.
I assume that is if your wife doesn't kill you first. The mind boggles at the methods of killing the hackers might think of. Might be something that rhymes with hackers.

iturama do you have her phone number , Stan's asking .

iturama - 12 Sep 2017 09:33 - 79032 of 81564

He's too rough for her at the moment. But I will send once she has been programmed to defend herself. Difficult bit of programming at the moment is helping her to escape the scene of the crime. I'm not sure if they have wifi in Burnley yet.

I've had worse :-)
