RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Tokyo - 23 Feb 2004 14:51 - 792 of 2406

WOW 27.75p is one hell of a resistance point, had big hopes that it could have gone up to 30 pence today, although buying is still quite strong, will check back tomorrow with fingers & all other body parts crossed!!!

Douggie - 23 Feb 2004 15:33 - 793 of 2406

Ouch !!! lost 1.75p....from high of 28p.....? not much change in trading trend ! lots uncertinty today ??

Douggie - 23 Feb 2004 16:56 - 794 of 2406

Above average no. shares traded @ 12.2ml 7.8 buy 4.3 sell...=fall in price !!!!

Tokyo - 23 Feb 2004 17:01 - 795 of 2406

anyone with a explaination?

With such strong results expected, and this being only a week away, is this the final shake of the tree by the MM's to get their hands on our shares, or something else?

Tokyo - 23 Feb 2004 17:04 - 796 of 2406

The trade at 16.19 of nearly 1.6 million shares would suggest someone is after our shares.

Here is hoping for a BIG rise tomorrow

GREETINGS ALL.
Gone very quiet on this thread again.
This time, is it because we're all speechless at looking at the intraday
trading graph.
I've literally no clues as to where it's going tomorrow.
Good luck to all holders.
Regards.

Hi folks - I've been away for the weekend and just caught up with today's interesting trading.

Wherever RTD goes in the next couple of days (down to 24p is possible) it's almost certain that the price will rocket suddenly to the 30p mark by the end of the week given the continued strength of buying support, so mind you don't fall for that old tree shaking ploy.

overgrowth - what is your view on the 28p resistance?

Douggie - 24 Feb 2004 10:08 - 801 of 2406

Selling like hot cakes today...am I missing something? :

metty - 24 Feb 2004 12:11 - 802 of 2406

Another step down before the results, What are peoples thinking of the resistance level and do you see this as a last chance buy opertunity before the results.would the smart money be on hold what you have and buy/sell based on the results?

Tokyo - 24 Feb 2004 12:38 - 803 of 2406

overgrowth - 30 pence by the end of the week? I really do hope so, as no one is getting my shares until after the results, and depending on what the report says, will rethink how many to keep/sell

What is the general feeling on this board, after the results are published buy/sell - how much of your holdings, etc?

harding1 - 24 Feb 2004 13:47 - 804 of 2406

Ive not got many 10K but am holding as the company is a great one and really cant go wrong. Im looking forward to the results and my profits then!!

Fundamentalist - 24 Feb 2004 14:04 - 805 of 2406

Personally i am in this for the long term. i have no intention of selling before/after the results unless something extraordinary comes out. I believe the growth potential is for the longer term and am happy to wait for the benefit which i expect to come through in the next couple of years.

As you can tell from this bulletin board there are a lot of people looking to buy more or sell these shares as many are sitting on large paper profits (myself included) - remember some people have been in since 2.5p and are sitting on a ten bagger - and this will lead to a lot of short term volatility around the results - also there have been very high volumes traded in the last few days.

If the results are as good as we are hoping for and future prospects good then we can expect to see some interest from the institutions after the results which could even lead to a re-rating (heres hoping eh!) The day the results come out is likely to be extremely volatile but good luck to all holders.

If it drops any more then I'll buy some more.

overgrowth - 24 Feb 2004 22:38 - 807 of 2406

Javid, given that there was some major tree-shaking going on today and buys were still very strong I reckon the supposed 28p resistance will easily be smashed through with solid buying support.

It's not as though RTD have been teetering around the 28p mark for months, technical indicators fall by the wayside on a blue-sky rise.

Tokyo, I'm keeping all of my main holding of RTD because it appears now as though the really serious money is going to be made by investors with a 1-2 year+ time-frame in mind (i.e. I'm looking forward to seeing RTD break through the 1 resistance), I'm starting to hive it off into an ISA wrapper now to ease the pain when I eventually want to sell some. I also have a small T-trade which will provide some reward whilst I'm waiting for the "big one".

It was a major tree-shake today as expected, Thursday and Friday are the days when the buying should really start to shift the price up. Not sure what will happen tomorrow - it could be a sideways day or if the bulls win we'll be looking at the start of the major run up to results.

All the best

OG

Have just had a look at the trades today - the MMs were not even attempting to hide the shaking - look at lots of small sells e.g. 5,000 being placed in the market at regular intervals to spook the unwary.

Don't let them have your shares yet and the price will rocket!

storergroup - 25 Feb 2004 11:42 - 809 of 2406

@ 11.34am a buy of 303,828

Buy price of 25.75p but the offer price is 25.00p ??

can anyone explain.

apple - 25 Feb 2004 12:05 - 810 of 2406

I saw this mornings dip so I bought some more & managed to catch the lowest point.

I'm looking forward to next week.

apple - 25 Feb 2004 16:41 - 811 of 2406

Any one know if the 1/2 Million protected trade was actually a buy while the price was recovering?
