Vous vous trompez Mr. C.! as reg. my origins hehe. Now now lets not walk the road of pedantry Mr C. but im sorry to say the Luddites recorded activities occured mostly during the regency period.Their machine breaking were for the most part concentrated from the spring of 1811 to the november of 1812 .lf you disagree take the matter up with celebrated historians G.D.H Cole and Raymond Postgate. Ok? ln addition i wasnt referring to the motivations and aspirations of the respective groups but rather the levels of aggro both groups were prepared to employ to get their way. l will conceed, however it wasnt with hindsight the best comparison.

regency period did not start until 1811, being the year George III was declared insane

The station name is hyphenated, unlike the name of the town (the power of the internet!!)

much more fun than that
i think i have the dates right, but it's from memory, but certainly the essence of the story is correct
the station was built in 1849 but the railway did not get there until 1857!

have now checked and the gap was actually1848/1857
as a further aside, but back on track(!!), IG is seemingly very close to its in-house limit on AFR

Ah, probably something to do with leaves. Yes, I get it now. That's where the feeble excuse came from: due to poor communication in those days the message was somewhat lost/confused in transition. The original "We'll leave it a while." became "There's leaves on the line." It's stuck ever since. There, just re-written history. :o)

Thats exactly what i said 1811 to 1812 Mr. C .....wow ,talk about splitting hairs hehehehe...You had me searching my library for a book from school called "Machine breaking in regency england: The Luddites" .......l bet your spouse/partner has her work cut out ..:-))....As a matter of interest where is Bradford on Avon ?

about 8 miles from Bath ...... and a further bit of trivia for you from b-on-a (no, i don't live there) ...... there was riot on (pre)luddite principles in 1791, when a certain Mr Phelps saw fit to introduce a scribbling horse ..... the machinery was destroyed; Mr Phelps shot and killed 4 rioters and got away with it - but as it was the gentry who paid for the local constabulary, no great surprise there

Amities Roly !!! . Do you still hold AFR Roly ? lMO IF it delivers on its potential, the skys the limit on this one. ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... O/T > ls really nice to hear from you.l You dirty dog,,,hehe What you been up too in Philippines then ? have only been back in UK myself for a couple of weeks . l live in Port of Spain now ..l have been in and out of bed all dayas i cant get used to this cold .Am accustomed to temperatures 30 to 40 degrees centigade not this horrror story.Basically my story goes back 3 years. You recall the very last mail i sent to you reg Lup Cap and how concerned i was initially over the sheer volume of properties being repossessed in Nevada and Cali ? Well that worried me a lot. And what started as a concern soon became an obcession .And after a little investigation l realised banks were foreclosing everywhere and the market was sleepwalking into a crash of proportions which spooked me . . . ....aww look i dont want to go into it all on here .People will think im trying to be a smartass -Aww l tried numerous times to E- mail you from all over the world .And its only now i realise why the posts came back. l was spelling your name as Aldwick without the additional k. Read posting 770 on this thread and it will give you an iota of an idea of my antics , lt is , of course the sanitized version . You know me .,,hehe ............lm juste so cold despite central heating on full blast and 3 quilts on my bed . For F*** sake i went for a walk before and only reached the Albert bridge before l stated shaking like crazy man.....................All i can say is im so pleased you are ok and hope you enjoyed your errr holiday .. You bad man ,,hehe ......@+ J. .

i fully concur CC. Had a shedfull of these at a mean ave. of 39p....sold 50% prematurely at between approx 93 and 97p thus giving me a free ride om remainder. . / Now looking at re-entry - 70p would be ideal! But with support level - nothing tangible tho - will will see 70p in a hurry/ again ?? irrespective of ,Yankee resrves at a new high , price of crude dropping and euro debt woes inhiniting growth ...70p would be great entry point tho....l was looking for anything below 75

despite the strong(er) $, US Light is still above $74.00, and frankly, i don't think it matters much as long as it stays above $70 or even perhaps $65 ..... the other bits you mention are also fairly irrelevant except insofar as they MAY affect sentiment.
AFR's progress will be based on its progress(!) in extracting its oil, for it already looks to have made the right friends in gov't
