Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Just for a bit of interest:

GON own the global merchandising and licensing rights for Skunk Fu except for Germany.

Tomorrow is 'Total Licensing 2007' in Germany where Super RTL will be promoting Skunk Fu at the event, amongst others.

banjomick - 06 Nov 2007 00:09 - 796 of 1609

I know the viewing figures for these video's are open to manipulation and all but good to see the Malaysian count for 'War' at nearly 11,000 in just over a week!
GON are just going through a reflective/resting patch at moment :-)

banjomick - 06 Nov 2007 00:39 - 797 of 1609

Also worth noting and I thought I'd posted this observation a few weeks ago!

Lavish under their 'Own Work' web-page had roughly double the amount of projects on display with Sokator-442 and Mysti notably not mentioned now!
I don't think this is a bad sign as what remains are already out there and so look good in their portfolio.I think a lot of the changes on the Lavish site are due to the new Chairman,David Blackler who joined Lavish over a month ago and so have no bearing regarding GON.

The main issue at the present time is that 8 million has been raised via a 'placing' at a price of 29p which as I have said before gives a solid base around this figure and on which further rises will take place when announcements are made-imo dyor ect ect ect

banjomick - 07 Nov 2007 13:00 - 798 of 1609

At or around 'placing',now below-lol.
The way I look at it all is that 8 million of shares were bought up from info given only to the choosen few.Soon recover-imo

banjomick - 07 Nov 2007 20:03 - 799 of 1609

So much for me 'solid base'....................Anyway,Imagination Holdings Limited
ie Mr Wong now owns 21.95% of GON:

TR-1 NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200711071743222455H.html

There were 27,586,212 shares injected via the 'placing'

Ashcourt Asset Management Limited (Ashcourt Nominees Limited) = 1,724,138 (6.25% of Placing)
Imagination Holdings Limited (Imagination Holdings Limited) = 6,806,897 (24.67% of Placing)
Cheyne Capital Management (Cheyne Global Emerging Markets
Fund L.P.was subscribing for 3,448,276 but no Notification yet = 3,448,276 (would take 12.50% of placing)

So there are 15,606,901 shares or 56.58% of the Placing to be announced, taking Cheyne as a done deal.Obviously 'Holding' statements are only issued if a holder owns 3% or more of the company as a whole.
Then any new holder who buys or exceeds 2,918,220 shares would have to notify the powers that be.

Bugger, still lots to learn as will have to check on this also,as in any single holder already over the 3% has to declare any further buying/selling activities of any value.

Further ramblings:

If the 8 million (27,586,212 Ordinary shares) were NOT all via a 'Placing' then I would be slightly worried. The shares have all been bought at 29p which doesn't mean the company is worth 29p per share at the present time but it does show that the bigger players are happy to pay 29p with the information they have at hand on future growth for example-imo

In percentage terms I own less of GON now than I did say six months ago but then they were only worth 6-12p per share where as today they are about 27p per share! If there wasn't the Placing to raise 8 million then how would GON expand to achieve their future goals?

Exciting times ahead or should I say further! All in my opinion dyor ect ect ect

banjomick - 09 Nov 2007 09:01 - 800 of 1609

Recovery on the way :-)

Galleon Holdings plc, the AIM-listed intellectual property owner and developer
in the entertainment sector, is pleased to announce that its Hong Kong based
media solutions company, Phoenix Investment Global Limited ('Phoenix'), has
signed a deal with TV3, the largest TV station in Malaysia, with 21 million
viewers. Under the terms of the deal, Phoenix will receive a fee for the supply
of its multi-platform interactive system to TV3. It will also receive ongoing
management fees and a revenue share on related activities, as a part of a
multi-year service agreement to provide sms gateway, interactive advertising

Galleon recently acquired Phoenix, which specialises in the provision of
interactive broadcast television services in China and South East Asia, which
allow broadcasters to provide interactive entertainment that audiences can
access through TV, online and most importantly, mobile. Phoenix's customers

both Galleon developed IP and properties submitted by 3rd party content owners

Will have to double check but I'm sure Skunk Fu is or is due for airing in Malaysia which also ties in very nicely!

banjomick - 09 Nov 2007 11:25 - 803 of 1609

Oh yes, there it is and to add the first paragraph:

Malaysian animation studio Rocket Fish Studios Sdn Bhd has signed agreements with nine international production houses as part of the first buyer fly-in

Just a recap on the Indiantelevision articles of this year,if I may be so bold:

From April 2007:

Galleon Holdings CEO Stephen Green says,

"Apollo's Pad has multiple revenue streams and over time, it will extend into traditional licensing and merchandising formats including apparel and gifting", added Green. "MIPTV gives us the perfect opportunity to forge relationships with TV, online and mobile partners throughout the international and regional arenas."

http://www.indiantelevision.com/headlines/y2k7/apr/apr19.php

From July 2007:

In addition, the launch of Apollo's Pad on apollospad.com, a website that will provide streaming, premium downloads and user generated content is set for October 2007.

"There is a huge demand for short-form entertainment as well as music video content," said Green. "Apollo's Pad, the perfect 'comedy meets music' animated property offers multiple time lengths depending on the platform. The series that has the format of the Muppet show with the humour of the Simpsons, is certain to be a hit among the viewers.

Apollo's Pad was created by Green and Galleon Holdings plc MD Len Dunne."

http://www.indiantelevision.com/headlines/y2k7/july/july396.php

From September 2007:

"Galleon Holdings plc MD Len Dunne added,"Sokator-442 at its heart has an amazing fantasy that we are bringing to life through an animated TV series combined with a content-rich online site and outreach programme. We have applied our learning from Apollo's Pad, our multiplatform young adult music meets comedy property that we developed with Sony BMG, to Sokator-442 and the results are blowaway."

It sounds to me as though GON have gone into the Mobile and Internet side in a very methodical way and as they themselves say or suggest,it's been a learning curve!
This avenue they have gone down shows that the Phoenix deal along with the area it covers has been a long term goal and GON have completed the necessary groundwork to hit this market in a big way pretty quickly-imo.

banjomick - 12 Nov 2007 00:35 - 806 of 1609

The Apollo's Pad website has been down all weekend................A proper official launch this week? Further announcements regarding AP and Asia?

Captain Pugwash originally appeared in the first 12 issues of Eagle comic.

The Eagle was launched on 14 April 1950. The initial print run of 900,000 sold out. Captain Pugwash ran for 19 issues [John Ryan] before it was withdrawn. Other memorable characters were Skippy the Kangeroo and Dan Dare.

Apollo's Pad website back up and running,I see. Will have a good look later but this bit is new:

"Coming to this site soon: karaoke, audition for a part in the show, prizes and competitions"

banjomick - 12 Nov 2007 16:58 - 809 of 1609

Strange day on what little volume there was,it's as though the trades at 28.5 were sells and all the others buys but below mid-price.Probably all sells but strangely interesting all the same!

banjomick - 13 Nov 2007 01:55 - 810 of 1609

I may be wrong (Ed-you usually are) but i think there must be news this week that will kick us up to 40p,just a guess so don't bank on it!There are too many big players involved now and feel an announcement is due.Just my opinion and news will obviously clarify!

banjomick - 13 Nov 2007 01:58 - 811 of 1609

The last announcement:

banjomick - 13 Nov 2007 08:47 - 812 of 1609

From the above:
' Under the terms of the deal, Phoenix will receive a fee for the supply
of its multi-platform interactive system to TV3'
Does that imply that GON/Phoenix have sold the 'stand alone' base that can be used for various programes by TV3?
Lots of news to come from the Far East methinks! :-)

banjomick - 13 Nov 2007 12:43 - 813 of 1609

A little overdone,don't you think!

There's either someone selling a boat load or mm's know there's an announcement due soon-imo dyor ect ect ect

banjomick - 13 Nov 2007 18:41 - 814 of 1609

Edit-looks like it is brand new as of today :-)

Never noticed that before, there is a 'press' part on the bottom right of main page of Apollo's Pad that when clicked leads to a 'Press Toolkit' page.

Still evolving but looking like an exciting IP and can't wait for the Sokatoer-442 version!

"Logos, images, press releases and more... About Apollo's Pad:

a short introduction
Apollo's Pad is a new comedy animation show produced by Galleon Holdings and backed by Sony BMG - it will be on TV next year.
Set in a nightclub, it follows the adventures of disco dude Hudson, the new club manager as he tried to get the club in shape, despite his less than ideal staff and singers.
Each character will reflect a different musical genre, from disco to rap and every episode will feature a newly-recorded version of a classic music track from Sony BMG's back catalogue.
