FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

Points on Greece -

1,The Mail has reported that Greece are making large land sales.

2,Greeks in the U.S..and they are saying ALL Greeks there are sending money
back home to friends and family.
We don't know just how much ,of course, but injections like those might make all the difference to a struggling nation like Greece.
I don't think any economists have factored in this sort of funding into their calculations.

Greeks abroad love their home country and their assistance should not be discounted.
