Most of us HAVE Done our Own Reasearch - and we all HAVE our Own Humble Opinions!!

I've posed these questions to you before but again I ask -

1. Are you a shareholder (and have you been?) in SEO?
2. Do you plan to be one day (or are you a shorter perhaps?)?
3. If you have no interest (or some interest?) in SEO then why do you detail so many NEGATIVE posts?
4. What is your agenda?

If you are true to yourself you should be able to give swift straightforward replies here?

A wee correction: a northern wind blows 'from' the north; I suspect also we need an easterly to reach the Americas unless we go right through the ice-cap. But I carp! starpol is a distinct product so that there won't be constraints in its marketing, although one would expect (even anticipate) their suppliers to rush on board.

I liked ii's chart; shows the sp to be breaking north out of the recent channel! Very helpful chap, or chapess. It is hard for him (her) to kick against the pricks (artists please!).

Tha latest basher/shorter to appear on FYB, thought it would be good to enlighten us on the fact(LOL!) that Stanelco are traded on the Swiss Virt-X as SEO

Total stupidity obviously, as SEO on Virt-X is Serono :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

He now says SEO is on Virt-X as SEO1, it is, but unlike his claim of millios of shares traded, the graph shows not one single share traded ....

bos - I see now - the price keeps getting ramped up the hill by brokers reports and tipsters tips - only for it to roll back down again - and then it starts again - more ramp - more promise - more "anticipate" - more tip - to get it up again - and then the big sellers come in and it comes back down again - ;-)

Correct PM1 - SE0 is traded on Virt-X as Epic SE01 - no trades last week as the price went up on all those RNSs - but if the shorters are now out in force again then expect trading this week on Virt-X.

Some more information on the DEFRA Laser sealing project - and yes as it is DEFRA they will allow many companies to use the technology - meaning loads of competition and low prices -

"The new sealing system, which can be used for ambient or chilled oven-ready
meal products, will seal lidding film to food trays using a laser - without the need for conventional tooling.
Working with other industry leaders The Recipe Dish Company, RPC
Containers Ltd, GSI Lumonics Ltd, FFP Packaging Solutions Ltd, alongside the
projects academic partners Loughborough University - Packaging Automation
has made a valuable contribution to the project.
The method used by the new system is non-contact and flexible, and will bring
numerous important benefits to the food industry including reduced tooling
costs, improved seal quality and less wastage.
Multiple tray shapes can be processed on a single production line, and fast
product changeovers can be achieved without resetting the sealing machinery.
And as an added bonus, the lidding film is cut by the laser beam once the seal
has been made.
In addition to the laser sealing, an advanced inspection system, using an
embedded signature and computer vision technique (UK Patent pending,
application no. 0427321.5), has been developed which will check the seal quality
of every pack vital in the demanding food industry where leaking trays can
cause contamination and costly recalls. Tests have shown that the laser seals
are stronger than traditional methods, but have the advantage of being easier to
peel an advantage to consumers.

There are numerous benefits evident with this new
system. With no tooling needed, production speeds can be further increased
and downtime minimised. Improved seal quality will mean fewer recalled
products and greater confidence by retailers. And there is the added benefit of
no tooling storage requirements, while tooling consumables such as heater
mats, trim blades, and thermocouples will not be required."

Now compare those easy to peel consumer friendly lids from Laser - to consumer unfriendly RF WELDED cut to open lids from Greenseal - which one is going to be the winner ??

Lots of benefits and an inclusive vision inspection system - now thats something that will seriously save money for suppliers and lead to consumers never getting a bad sealed food tray - and yes - Greenseal does still do bad seals - just a lower percentage than traditional heat sealing.

The DEFRA profject is most certainly a major threat to Greenseal - and in fact the benefits are more - can you see why the uptake on Greenseal is so slow - why buy something new now - when you can wait a little longer and get someone even better.

What does this mean - perhaps only a few suppliers will convert a few machines for dedicated Asda lines - and thats it.

The poster of the so called email - never got a reply on the Laser Project - they simply cut and paste one small part of the write up on Laser and said thats it.

How SE0 in that email can compare Laser WELDING and RF WELDING I do not know - they should compare Laser SEALING with RF WELDING - when the finally get a chance to see the new sealing machine and what technology it uses - they are blind - and spouting crap IMO.

As you can see from the write up - Laser Sealing creates easy to peel lids - this is NOT WELDING - WELDING means as its name - non peel welded joints.

Now for them to come out with that comparison of WELDING when Laser is SEALING and the Greenseal RF is WELDING- it shows just how worried they are !!!

Stanelco plc, the RF applications Group, is delighted to announce the
appointment of Martin Wagner as Commercial Director of Stanelco RF Technologies
Ltd with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging
technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000.

Martin was previously Head of Packaging Development at ASDA Stores Limited where
he has spent the last 5 years heading up a number of different commercial teams
delivering both significant savings to the business and leading ground breaking
strategic initiatives, and was directly involved in ASDA's adoption of the
GREENSEAL technology project. Martin brings to Stanelco his experience of
working directly in the food and beverage supply industry as well as the
healthcare and pharmaceutical industries at director level.

GREENSEAL is Stanelco's technology for sealing lids on to food trays and sealing
thermoformed food packs. Almost all heat-sealing requires the use of laminated
materials; these are up to 20% more expensive and uneconomic to recycle.
GREENSEAL works on more environmentally responsible materials that are lower
cost and economic to recycle. In addition GREENSEAL can seal through
contamination of the seal area, solving the major cause of rejected product.

Starpol 2000 is a range of low cost, food contact approved, biodegradable
materials that can be run on conventional thermoforming equipment to form food
packaging. Trays made from this material are suitable for MAP (modified
Atmosphere Packaging) used to preserve food quality and extend shelf life.

Martin Wagner commented:
