Sefton Resources - a SCREAMING BUY at this price - small-cap oil producer (SER)

mjr1234 - 10 Nov 2005 12:44

This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.

You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.

So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.

A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.

This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.

There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :

www.seftonresources.com

There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

kkeith,

Yes. MM's trying to balance their books with cheap stock beforehand. Some fools always fall for it.

Hardman&Co report out very soon, I think they are trying to time the release with respect to newsflow / start of new tax year?

What a great undervalued stock this is.
Can't wait to get more funds to add to my holding here. Next target is 3M.

People selling at this stage are utter fools, nothing more IMO.

I have been watching and participating in this since early December - the website is excellent as you say. But am I right with the following -- they had a production table on the website which showed the 200bpd production levels. This seemed to be tailing off slightly into Feb. Now I can't see the graph on the website. Was I dreaming - most likely - or have they cut this info?

mjr1234 - 04 Apr 2006 14:01 - 804 of 1047

I think you're dreaming Confidant - the graphs are still there, just checked.

mjr1234 - 04 Apr 2006 14:04 - 805 of 1047

Where are you posting from by the way?

Confidant - 04 Apr 2006 15:27 - 806 of 1047

Posting from home.

Must have just not looked at right page on website. Sitting on nice 70% pft since following the thread since Dec. On company figures suggests its sitting on about 2xPCF -- very nice -- which while I'm sure they are spending plenty on lunches and company cars should leave some leftovers for us shareholders.

mjr1234 - 04 Apr 2006 15:42 - 807 of 1047

Ok, cheers. Looking forward to the coming results which should show a good profit for H2. Should really wake up the market if it is still not woken up by then?

Imminent Hardman&Co report should give it a stir first though, apparently there will be some kind of trading update before it though, and I believe it is also planned to coincide with an Oilbarrel piece as well. This should be within the next 2 weeks or so apparently.

3M+ buys and no sells yet today. How much longer can they hold this back with this buying pressure?

Online buy limit now only 150k.

mjr1234 - 05 Apr 2006 11:30 - 810 of 1047

mjr1234 - 05 Apr 2006 16:16 - 813 of 1047

Another nice 1M buy.

I think it's safe to say with todays buy/sell ratio, THE BULLS ARE BACK IN TOWN.

Diablo666 - 05 Apr 2006 16:25 - 814 of 1047

Ain't their a song from years back about that one:

THE BULLS ARE BACK...THE BULLS ARE BACK...THE BULLS ARE BACK IN TOWWWWWWWWWWWN. lol

mjr1234 - 05 Apr 2006 16:34 - 815 of 1047

In the thread header, dated 11 Nov 2005 I stated "In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price." Price then was 0.275p mid.

So this has just over a month (5 weeks from tomorrow) to get to 0.825p-1.375p.

Still possible? Yes, I think it is..

kkeith2000 - 05 Apr 2006 17:59 - 816 of 1047

I think it's more than possible mjr a fair value at the moment would be 1-1.5p. Good rise today 13%
keith

mjr1234 - 06 Apr 2006 17:17 - 817 of 1047

1.8M buys , 3.2M sells, and a 2x500k rollover.

explosive - 06 Apr 2006 18:42 - 818 of 1047

MJ - Other way round, 3.2m buys v's 1.8m sells...... I think a 30 for 1 share swap would put SER on the map for many!!
