oops, a slide (DRM)

hangon - 27 Mar 2007 13:36

This cosmetic co was looking bright at 16p-ish, then they needed some more money and it's been downhill since - anyone interested...it's been pretty quiet so far...so I've started a thread. Currently 7p...oh dear and not a peep from the company.
Everything must be OK, then.

Bluelady - 25 Apr 2007 12:37 - 8 of 18

Hangon- your post made me look at the share price and it's still going down due to a sell of 125,000 today. The only way this share will sky rocket is if Avian flu arrives and I wouldn't really want that, would I!!! I am sure GD Pott's meant that DRM are in financial difficulty as are BFC...and look at the share price of BFC.

Bluelady - isn't "f-d" a tad strong since they have had a placing?
However, more importantly....Can you say, as a woman what is yr take on their products? - I understand they are reasonably good, but don't know where they are available etc. They took-on a well-respected bod a few months ago - but he's not appeared to do much (for the sp anyway), but then he was hampered by the Funding issue at 5p.
I suspect this was the cause of the sp fall.....amongst those that knew - a false Market IMHO. oops!

Bluelady - 30 Apr 2007 16:01 - 10 of 18

Hangon,

I never really thought of this company just as a cosmetic company for ladies, probably due to the skin moisturiser, Safe cleanse, killing avian H5N1 (Bird Flu) virus, and it has other creams targetting the prescription dermatology sector: treatments of eczema and psoriasis.

hangon - 16 May 2007 16:57 - 11 of 18

Clearly I'm wrong Blue Lady, sorry - but then maybe others have this same product-view as well? (It's in the Co name!)... What do you consider to be its strengths? - as it looks to be spending too much money before earnings. The SP fall has been dire - not unlike Disperse (wash my mouth!) which I had foolishly believed was on the edge of something good....but their sales were (it seemed) not quite as good as they appeared.
+Are you invested in any other small pharmas? Regards.

hangon - 21 Aug 2007 16:46 - 12 of 18

Afterm a placing companies think all will be OK, yet the euphoria is abound because they have cash, supporting the sp ( worst-case scenario). It can take a long time for a co to get selling, get their new production/sales aligned and for this reason we should (perhaps) be looking to about 6months/1-year.....meanwhile the Market turmoil is really what they don't need.......under 5p before too long, oh dear!

Anyone else holding and hoping?

hangon - 03 Dec 2007 16:42 - 13 of 18

4.25 early Dec07, so those that were willing at 5p ( May 07 placing netted 425k-DYOR)....are well-stuffed.
With the minor outbreaks of blue-tongue and some turkey deaths etc - it isn't looking too good for the New Year and not as far as DRM is concerned, either.

I was stuffed with Disperse, who never did make any progress in Cosmetics - and here, History Repeats itself....Grr.
I hold from 13.4p = nearly a 75% loss! Yikes.
( 1- day later EDIT: - down another 17% - ouch..)

hangon - 17 Jan 2008 13:27 - 14 of 18

see RNS - it seems that "Trafalgar" has made an investment in this outfit at about 25% discount to today's price (4.25p-ish) . . . so it may well dip further . . . as this Placing-news is hardly value-enhancing ( since it's Dilution), because it its evident that the Co will be running out of reddies without a regular sales/profit stream, so this is likely to remain their position. At sub-3p I might venture; but otherwise I'll wait for some solid progress.

hangon - 07 Mar 2008 17:00 - 15 of 18

21 Feb08 - RNS ( DYOR)
Seems the Co has raised 250k partly on the back of six-Director Buys at 3.75 pence....
Opportunistic, or what! - yet is 250k really enough to run a company, like this?

OR- is this to bolster the sp in anticipation of a further funding....?
Perhaps that's why the sp hasn't moved in the last few weeks . . . . does this mean the Trafalgar cash is already spent...or just the end of the closed-season
Looks a tad poor, IMHO.

hangon - 18 Mar 2008 13:23 - 16 of 18

Co issues another 750,000 shares at 2.5p I'm guessing.
see RNS 12 March 2008 - Oh dear sp abt 2.5p - did I say "Slide" - this is an avalance in slow-motion!
The reason for the fall seems to be a confusing deal with Trafalgar - grief it is worded like they don't want to make it clear! You have to read Oct07 agreement and then try to work out what it really means......far better to leave this pile of do-do until it all becomes clear.....maybe 2009?

Not long ago this was 15p until money ran thin . . . . . . . deary, deary.
Will these 1p shares get under-face-value?
EDIT: 19March down again . . . 2p/2.5

hangon - 01 May 2008 12:42 - 17 of 18

42% uplift today yet three sales of 100k, 100k and 25k shares . . . . so if there was a good story ( ie about to break, etc.), they'd HOLD, at least until the News is out.

So, I suspect this is MM's boosting the price where someone is keen to Buy - I don't believe this is Director-buying, for that would be in large blocks AND needs an RNS.

Their sp has been badly bruised and without knowing the reasons underlying, it's now a "bargepole" stock for me..... DYOR ... and Good Luck.

hangon - 13 May 2008 17:10 - 18 of 18

Not a large uplift ( compared with 1st May...see above!)...-Yet several buys just above 10k....with some smaller ones about 1k but all-in-all, quite a flurry - could this be the whole staff at DRM?

-What's odd is this massisve interest (again?), on what appears to be a completely silent company this last month ( no news items under DRM shown). It's now 5.0'clock so that's well after the Market closed...
...Could we have an RNS?

Or, could this be Shorters getting out, to put pressure on some Banking stock instead?
