Iain, no I'm not, just nowhere near intelligent enough! :-)

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 12:46 - 9 of 91

this is so obviously MAM promoting itself. please dont exaggerate L2 its not that great!.

the month was useful and pricing more appealing but if LSE are charging 6 and MAM charging about 23.50 its still over priced imo. under 20 inc VAT.

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 13:03 - 10 of 91

lizard, could you explain your figures please for the less clever amongst us?

If you look at http://www.moneyam.com/register/ it seems that Level 2 is being provided for 9.99 + VAT on top of the next lowest package.

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 13:57 - 11 of 91

level2 19.99 +VAT.

Pinsticker - 02 Apr 2007 14:00 - 12 of 91

Kayak,

Unfortunately, I don't think Lizard is tuned into your wavelength....

Pin

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 14:01 - 13 of 91

No lizard, that is the price of the whole level 2 package, which includes the next lowest package at 10 per month as well as level 2. The price of level 2 on its own would be 19.99 less 10 = 9.99 + VAT (if it were sold that way), and 9.99 is what you must compare the 6 license fee to.

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 14:03 - 14 of 91

Lol Pin. To be honest I can't see how MoneyAM or anyone else can make money at these prices.

Some people have an intellectual capacity that could be referred to as 'my newt'

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 14:21 - 16 of 91

not very clear.

im looking for L2 UK stocks (inc AIM) and a watch list uk stocks (inc AIM) would this come under 9.99+VAT?.

kayak- why would you say that- unless you are working for MAM?.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 02 Apr 2007 14:24 - 17 of 91

lizard,

For clarity, the price to access the service you would like would be 19.99 + Vat

Ian

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 14:25 - 18 of 91

cheers ian.as i thought then.

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 14:28 - 19 of 91

lizard, ask Ian how much a realtime unlimited watch list of uk stocks (inc AIM) would cost.

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 14:32 - 20 of 91

kayak- its about 10 pm everywhere. the deal i was looking for was L2. the LSE have reduced considerably 15 to 6. MAM now at 23.50.

Iain - 02 Apr 2007 14:32 - 21 of 91

Ian .
How much will a realtime unlimited watch list of uk stocks (inc AIM) cost.? and can a have a wine voucher for asking

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 14:35 - 22 of 91

Aaaargh lizard. If you know that watch lists on their own are 10, why can you not understand that to get level 2 as well as the watch lists you are paying an additional 9.99?

Iain - 02 Apr 2007 14:37 - 23 of 91

A train leaves Glasgow at 1500hrs at the same time a car leaves london. How many hours will it take? ;-)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 02 Apr 2007 14:37 - 24 of 91

Iain,

10 + Vat a month and no :)

Lizard, I think the point Kayak is getting at is that Active costs 10 + Vat per Month, which gives you realtime level 1, the Level 2 cost which includes the Active service, as part of its subscription is 19.99 + Vat per month.

I hope this clarifies for everyone,

Ian

lizard - 02 Apr 2007 14:37 - 25 of 91

i get it for sure @23.50.
ian -its cheaper and worth considering just wished it was priced inc vat under 20 threshold. considering the LSE have moved from 15 to 6.

Iain - 02 Apr 2007 14:37 - 26 of 91

Clarifys what? ;)

Kayak - 02 Apr 2007 14:47 - 27 of 91

OK, last post on the subject, lizard, before I assume you're just an April Fool come a day late :-)

The 6 per user license fee payable to the LSE for level 2 does not include VAT nor does it include level 1 prices or news. MAM does not offer a package which is just level 2 without watch list. If it did, you would be able to compare their price against 6 + VAT.

If you take the price of level 2 to be 23.50, then in order to have a meaningful comparison with LSE licence fees you need to factor in not just the 6 licence fee to LSE for level 2, plus the VAT thereon, but also licence fees payable for level 1 real time prices, news, etc, which is all included in the 23.50. Otherwise you're just comparing apples and pears.
