Things are looking better than expected ......

UK current account balance, Q3 final GDP surprise

UK's current account balance has improved to -£25.5bn in November, which was less than the -£28.7bn recorded in October. The market had forecast a print of -£28.3bn.

Meantime, UK's Q3 gross-domestic product grew 0.6%, which was ahead of the 0.5% anticipated by the market and the 0.5% rise seen in Q2.

The country's index of services rose 1.0% in November, which was up on the expected gain of 0.9% and from a 0.9% print in October.
