little woman - 29 Dec 2003 08:13 - 9 of 23

Morning all,

I thought for a moment that the market had forgotten to open! But it seems moneyam just has the "holiday blues" and service will resume soon!

Douggie - 29 Dec 2003 08:14 - 10 of 23

well isnt this fun no live streem !!!!!

Druid2 - 29 Dec 2003 08:26 - 11 of 23

Morning. Hope you all had a nice Xmas. EZJ has been over 300p but still waiting for it to close above 300p. ETL disappointing at below 40 levels. CYH seems to be a popular choice in 2004 tips.

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 08:32 - 12 of 23

I was going to say that not much seems to be happening in the market today, but looking at the FTSE100 chart - I may be wrong!

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 08:36 - 13 of 23

Level 2 & Streaming on the stockwatch may not be working, but the trades are!

Melnibone - 29 Dec 2003 09:14 - 14 of 23

Morning all,

Thought I'd have a peek at what's going on, don't
expect much today.

Volume at 0815 Hrs is usually around 50/100 million after
the market has been open for 15 mins.
Today it was........ 4 Million. :-)
Says it all really.

Volatility can occur in low volume scenarios where a few
trades can distort the market. So if any one has a particular
buy or sell price that they are looking for in an individual
stock, you may get lucky on a day like this.

Spreads won't be very good for actual day trading, so maybe
sticking to the index at a 3 point spread may be the way
to go if any particular level takes your fancy.

Melnibone.

Geoff(MoneyAM) - 29 Dec 2003 09:21 - 15 of 23

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 11:25 - 17 of 23

Bought some ETL for the medium term portfolio

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 12:29 - 18 of 23

Well all my longs in the short term portfolio has done well today. Only one left to close - GSK.

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 12:29 - 19 of 23

Looking forward for the US to open

Melnibone - 29 Dec 2003 15:10 - 20 of 23

S@P above 1100 and DOW attacking 10400, yet FTSE
is making heavy weather in trying to break 4457.

Coincidently, as well as 4457 being R1 it is also
the last trading day's high.

Could be a nice pullback in the last hour.

Melnibone.

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 20:10 - 21 of 23

mmmmmm Yes, I've had to do a lot more work than in the past!!!!

The Dow seems to be holding just above r3 - 103400, the big question is will it go up, hold or fall back. Not long to go now.

zarif - 29 Dec 2003 20:40 - 22 of 23

lw: something wrong on your quote do you mean 10430 as on jan has reached max 10431 and daily 10429 and mar at 10407. on ig index site.

little woman - 29 Dec 2003 21:00 - 23 of 23

Sorry, remove the 3!
