little woman - 12 Aug 2004 08:03 - 9 of 20

Morning all,

5 min to find out whats happening! Can't see anything that involves streaming on my work computer, (something to do with java?)but can see the heat maps!

Douggie - 12 Aug 2004 08:58 - 10 of 20

mornin all

strbsg - 12 Aug 2004 09:55 - 11 of 20

Does the monitor work ? mine has the wrong volumes.

Big Al - 12 Aug 2004 14:53 - 12 of 20

Afternoon!

Another slow and dreary August trading day.

Things looking good on AQP, PDX and OKR trades with the rest pretty much the same. Have added a wee short on RDW, but it's gone nowhere much either.

All in all, boring really.

stockbunny - 12 Aug 2004 15:03 - 13 of 20

but there are bits of blue today - which is a nice change!

Melnibone - 12 Aug 2004 15:25 - 14 of 20

Expecting a few storm clouds to obscure that blue, this afternoon.
HP, Cisco, Oil should see to that.

Wouldn't do any bottom fishing, just yet, if some of you
are contemplating it. (IMHO)

Melnibone.

Big Al - 12 Aug 2004 15:26 - 15 of 20

stockbunny - I don't mind blue or red as long as I'm the right side of them! ;-)

stockbunny - 12 Aug 2004 15:37 - 16 of 20

;>) Big Al!But blue brings in more on the BB to chat!

I'm not bottom fishing M. just happy to pocket the gain on SVT today
and bank it for another less potentially stormy day!

Big Al - 12 Aug 2004 16:01 - 17 of 20

True.

little woman - 12 Aug 2004 18:18 - 18 of 20

The DJ is over 100 down and still dropping

Melnibone - 12 Aug 2004 18:44 - 19 of 20

Watching it now Little woman. Little bounce before down to
the close, IMHO.
NDX down to new lows today.

If it falls towards the close, it would mean that the FTSE closed
near the US highs. Seems to happen quite often, that, doesn't it?
What a coincidence. :-)))

Anyone who went long, late this afternoon, will be producing
kittens at the moment. ;-)

Melnibone.

Melnibone - 12 Aug 2004 21:13 - 20 of 20

Well, we got the little bounce and the drift down to the close.
Folk just seem to be looking for an out at the moment.
It will need the Bears to scare and start squeezing themselves
to get much upside in these markets, IMHO.

So the Ftse closed near the US highs and the US closed near
it's lows. Unless we get something positive after the bell that
starts the US futures rising, it's starting to look like a gap
down open on the FTSE tomorrow. It's got a cushion before it
hits 4300, and it needs it. If it starts going much below there,
traders will be looking for a test of 4200, especially if
DOW/NDX/S&P 9800/1300/1060 start to give way.

Melnibone.
