No one interested in this share??? (TLT)

Beasties - 08 Oct 2004 15:49

OK, so I've held these for a couple of years, and showing a tidy profit.

Looking at the chart and, HELLO PEOPLE, this looks like a screaming buy at the moment!!!!

The question is, do I nip in for a few more............

dclinton - 18 Dec 2004 10:30 - 8 of 26

I've bought into these in the last few days. Looks like a dodgy decision from a chart point of view. However, the fundamentals make this quite attractive as a long-term value share. There's been good growth for 5 years, increasing dividend, a low P/E (6.7) and low PEG (0.77). Also the dividend yield is a healthy 5%.

I think the recent drop may be a reaction to the general house-price weakness. However, Tolent operate in a lot of sectors beyond housing.

I will continue to hold these unless they drop to my standard bail-out loss of 15% (currely 8% down) but would probably look to get back in later on.

Hi dclinton.

Just had a quick look at the charts for TLT. It looks like it might test your 15% bail-out. But you are correct it has had a good steady growth over the years, strong since 2003. Have a look for news to see if threre is any bad news which may have caused TLT to drop recently. On the chart it looks to be trading near to the 200 day moving average. The market may just be testing the strenght of the up trend. The share price sometimes dips through the 200 DMA then rises. It is normaly a good indicator when the share price moves up through or from the 200 DMA. The support is strongest at 1.15p take care not to let your shares go below this area, as it may be before your bail-out.

Good Luck

Eddie

dclinton, you must have balls of steel!!

I've been in this for almost 3 years, topping up along the way. In fact my last top-up was 3 weeks ago at 137p. It's been a great share for me, but nothing lasts forever. The chart has made me increasingly nervous lately and I've seen enough to know that the chances of this steaming ahead from here are less than evens. Coward that I am, I'm outta there, leaving a tiny stake.

Fundamentals look good, but then they've looked great for ages. Hey, it might press on from here. Good luck.

Bit of a bounce today and still above the 200-day SMA. Bought in at 1.35 so bail out is around the 1.15 that eddieshare mentioned.

Don't know about balls of steel, though. Perhaps just rose-tinted glasses :-)

I found Tolent on a search for good growth companies based on the criteria outlined in a book called "The Zulu Principle".

I'm with you dclinton. Not much news on TLT, but doing very well with a 14% Stop/Loss, except for the nasty bump last May.

dclinton - 12 Jan 2005 22:39 - 13 of 26

Well, it's pulled back nicely from the low and pushed to a new high. Currently sitting on a 10% gain in a month and I think we can expect some good solid growth ongoing.

Beasties - 08 Mar 2005 15:19 - 14 of 26

Wow, results met with a nice rise today.

How sick am I that I sold the majority of my holding?!!

petob - 08 Apr 2005 11:48 - 15 of 26

On the move again!

Anyone have any news? Is it a takeover?

paragon - 20 May 2005 18:36 - 16 of 26

aqafresh - 19 Feb 2006 19:45 - 21 of 26

Anybody know what all this is about -6.55% ?

aqafresh - 20 Feb 2006 23:51 - 22 of 26

Anybody know what all this SELLING is about?

Beasties - 21 Feb 2006 12:21 - 23 of 26

Not a clue!!

Beasties - 21 Feb 2006 12:26 - 24 of 26

It's almost down to its long-term support line.
Prob dip below it at some point this week. Important thing to remember is that it isn't a sell signal until it closes a session below it. IMO

aqafresh - 21 Feb 2006 18:37 - 25 of 26

Lets hope its 99% fear 1% fact, thats driving this down

and then,,,,

Let the buy back commence!

Beasties - 07 Mar 2007 09:08 - 26 of 26

Good results again.
Been out of this for a while now, crying all the time as the price has gone up(!!).
But a historical pe of 13 now does NOT look like good value compared to previous years.
