stockbunny - 20 Apr 2005 15:37 - 81 of 102

Good day to you too Sir
:>)

brain2brain - 20 Apr 2005 16:45 - 82 of 102

Only 3 reds (about 1% each) Portfolio up 2.3% on the day, still raining and now a bit misty. I can live with that. Off to the pub later. Not a bad life. NLR, YOO and SEO can make it even better tomorrow!

Well now we have the double bottom most of these TA traders refer to. From here in a couple of days we should be looking at brighter things.

cheers GF.

Well done NLR and SEO another 2.6% increase in portfolio. I just need to phone the folks at YOO to ask them to get their finger out..... red does't suit them!
Nice to see DGM ticking up too.

What is it with YOO.Have they become a no!no! share by reputation alone'
What is the problem?

brain2brain - 22 Apr 2005 09:03 - 88 of 102

Only one red (SHI) and thats just a fraction of a percent. YOO in the green. Should be thankful for small mercies but DGM up 8%. Summer is coming and its getting bluer by the day.

daves dazzlers - 22 Apr 2005 09:44 - 90 of 102

jimmy b - 22 Apr 2005 09:45 - 91 of 102

Im in a lot better shape than i was on monday..JB..

blackbelt - 27 Apr 2005 16:43 - 92 of 102

Another Shit day all round, have managed to keep 1 in the blue ESG and three unchanged, rest is a sea of red!

Im thinking of selling most of my stock and waiting this out it looks very ominous

How does everybody else compare?

Chiva20 - 27 Apr 2005 16:47 - 93 of 102

I was going to kick off this thread earlier blackbelt, another shocker hey? I have 2 green 13 red. Ouch.

stockdog - 27 Apr 2005 17:30 - 94 of 102

12 red, 7 green, 7 blue and not big moves, on very low volume - not at all bad for a day when the FTSE100 is down 60.7 points so far.

Blackbelt - why sell on a down day? If you think the market is going to continue the bear phase from end May (as some of the press are saying), work out a strategy to hit the best day to sell between now and then. Do not change your mind on the day because your nice sharesy waresies are now going up -THAT is the day to sell, if you have fundamentally decided to sell, that is.

Otherwise sit it out and protect your position with some down bets on CFD's or spread-betting.

Fred1new - 27 Apr 2005 18:02 - 95 of 102

It is a nasty couple of days but just noticed Dow up. For how long G knows.
I think if you have stop losses in position on promises I wouldn't change them I grab the profits. At the moment I wish I have only few profits. Bad couple of weeks. Must start playing phantasy CFDs a bit more seriously.

blackbelt - 28 Apr 2005 09:12 - 96 of 102

Cheers SD im just moaning cause ive had a pretty shit couple of weeks i was planning to close a position on ESG coincidentially shares have just put a sell notice on it......but, it went up this morning 6% but you got to be disciplined

jimmy b - 29 Apr 2005 10:56 - 97 of 102

Does anyone have any idea where this market is going,,my only share that is holding it's own is SEO,,every other one is down and still sliding,,and every day i think we have hit the bottom only for it to slide some more. As Goldfinger said on another thread the MM'S are partly to blame.
Does anyone see a quick recovery ,or is this for the summer..Your view's appreciated..JB..

brain2brain - 29 Apr 2005 12:36 - 98 of 102

Started the day with all reds and two greens. At 12.35 there are 5 blues but the majority are still red. The only comfort I take at the moment is that it is a general malaise and not necessarily my poor stock picking.
Sitting tight with most but have done one or two "swops", in particular with NLR which seems very cheap compared with the general views on its potential price in the future.

mickeyskint - 29 Apr 2005 12:36 - 99 of 102

I think we are still in a bull market, just. As we go through the year and into 2006 I can see the bears having it. If the ftse does not find support at 4600 I think it could go all the way to 4000. All imho.
